Question about Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Full Version for PC

1 Answer

Trial "upgrade" doesn't work

I have the "MS Office Pro 2007 Trial" installed.
I have purchased the Product Key to "convert."
It seems to work, the installation and configuration conclude ok,
but when I restart the software, it is still the (expired) trial version.

    Thanks for that,

As far as I can tell there is only one install "Office 12." Definately only one set of executables.

I have heard of this happening with the MAC version where both  versions stay installed in the applications folder.
check that you are trying to start the new paid for version and not the old one.

Did you receive any install media with the upgrade or did you just get the KEY. Is there a download available?

If you had any install media I would try a uninstall/reinstall but I dobut thats the case.

I am assuming you have already tried starting WORD normally and providing the upgrade KEY if it asked.

Also check the Microsoft website for a possible solution to the EXACT version you are trying to upgrade. They do provide some amount of support for people who purchase the upgrade keys online.

Have the product key for publisher 2007 but no disk

Hi Gillian

MS OFFICE PUBLISHER 2007 PRODUCT ID WITHOUT INSTALLATION DISC

You do not say how came to have the Product key for MS Publisher 2007. If this Product Key originally came from a Microsoft Authorized or other legitimate source with the original installation disc and is actually an unused, unregistered, unactivated, genuine, MS Publisher 2007 Product ID or Activation Code but you have either mislaid or damaged the original disc to which it relates, then you could beg, borrow or buy any MS Publisher 2007 or MS Office 2007 disc with which to install the program, using your code when a code is requested during the installation process. You could borrow a disc from a friend or a workplace. You could go to a local repair centre with a comprehensive software library. You could buy a disc on eBay.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/installation-and-activation-information-for-2007-microsoft-office-programs-HA010173340.aspx

If you obtained the Product Key you mentioned from a third party, you will have difficulty knowing whether it is genuine, unsed, unactivated and unregistered.

If you were hoping to be able to download MS Publisher 2007 or obtained the Product key you mention from the internet, then you should be aware that Product Full, genuine, licensed versions of Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded. Microsoft have withdrawn downloads and direct sales of MS Office 2007 applicationss, including MS Publisher 2007, the only remaining support services being updates and security patches during Automatic Updates. If there is some obstacle to your using the Product Key you mention, here are some constructive, useful, helpful, practical alternative options to consider instead. One option is to download MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial and install it, carefully following each step:

Go to:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try

If you do not want to buy or cannot afford a full, licensed copy of MS Publisher 2007 and/or prefer to pursue the downloading option, consider the latest version of genuine, similar free comprehensive Office Suite applications - OpenOffice and LibreOffice- downloadable free, from their original source, at:

www.openoffice.org

http://www.libreoffice.org/

You can use OpenOffice and LibreOffice simultaneously with MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial. If you delete MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial, well before the 60 day expiry date, and Remove all components of it from Add or Remove Programs (or its equivalent in your Operating System) and Restart before downloading and installing it again, it is usually possible to enter into further 60 Day trial periods.
If you cannot use the Product Key you mention but are determined to continue using a MS Publisher 2007, then you will have to purchase a full, genuine, unused and licensed copy of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier, such as Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_13?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ms+publisher+2007&sprefix=MS+Publisher

Online offers of Free Downloads of MS Office products are probably almost universally either not genuine, illegal, unlicensed or pre-used licence versions, downloadable only from illicit download sites or sites that are masquerading non-existent MS Office products as camouflage for the marketing of other (often unrelated) software, products or services. Even if you do succeed in finding a Product ID or download site that seems to work for MS Publisher 2007, you will still have to purchase a separate, genuine, unused Activation Code for the product before you can successfully install it, use it with confidence, register it, activate it and download and benefit from Updates and Security Patches for it from Microsoft.

Computer came with MS-Office Home & Student 2007. 2007 version, I believe, has been upgraded to 2010. Computer is asking for product key. When I enter the 25 digit product key the system says it is...

Office and Works are two separate products. You can't upgrade office 2007 to 2010 with just a key it would be a complete new install. Computers come with 90 trial software and you would have to buy a product key for 2007. If you purchased 2010 then you would need to install it and then enter the key.
Also mind the following pairs of characters as they look very similar (B, 8) (G, 6)

How do I go about buying a Product Key for Microsoft office home and Student 2007? I bought a new laptop and they never gave me a product code

If you have a trial version of MS Office Home and Student Edition already installed in your computer, you must buy a retail package of that same programe (MS Office Home and Student Edition) and language of the trial installed.
Then you can use the product key of the package you bought to convert your trial into a full version.
To convert MS Office Home and Studente Edition, you don't just buy a key, you must buy the full package with the CD you can use for future installations.

Can't install microsoft office small business 2007 upgrade

The upgrade version is only to upgrade a previous version of MS office. The trial version does not qualify as previous version to be upgraded. You need to purchase the full product rather than the upgrade.

If you know somebody who has MS office 2003 with a valid product key, you could install that version, and then upgrade it with the product that you purchased

Same thing.. new computer with trial version. Got

Hi there,
The trial period has run out so you are now required to purchase a new product key from Microsoft, the key on the sticker has nothing to do with MS Office and is only the operating system key.
The only other way round this problem is to download openoffice for free which will open all your MS Office documents, get openoffice here >>>>>>>>>

Good luck

Installing MS Office 97 Pro, if I have trial of 2007.

Hi there.
Providing the disk you had with your old computer has the product key with it you should have no problems at all installing it, just make sure you uninstall the MS office 2007 first before you install MS office 97.

Thanks for choosing FixYa!!

I download ms office 2007. during installation it requires product key of 25 characters. i have no product key of ms office 2007.

The product key needs to be purchased from MS - If you downloaded a trial version you will need the full product key which is licensed upon purchase to allow you run the software legally on your machine.

Loading MS Office Professional 2007 on New HP

Hello!
One thing that you should *not* have done was to install Office Pro over the trial version.  Unfortunately, MS is notorious for not cleaning up things properly when you overlay/install over one version with another.
One way to be absolutely sure of not having future problems would be to uninstall *both*, first uninstalling the Office Pro (last version installed), then unstalling the Office trial version, then reinstalling the Office Pro.  I know that this is a pain in the neck, but it is probably going to save you a lot of heartache (and headaches) in the future.
If this were me, I would do exactly like I said above, but before reinstalling Office Pro, I would run a good registry cleaner, and then do a reboot of the system.  That way, you are starting with a "clean" install of Office, which will cause you less problems in the future.  I am sure that some people will tell you that this is a lot of work, but it is nothing compared to having Office mess up 6 months down the line during an update or such, and then having to do all of the above *plus* a bunch of updates.  That whole procedure will take 10 times the time of just doing the paragraph above.
Hope this helps you out!
Ken

Ms office pro 2007 key needed..

First you buy the product, the key comes with the purchase!
If you have a bootleg copy of the software, there is nothing that can be done for you.
You must not have the program installed on other computers.
You must purchase an original Microsoft CD.
No temporary product key is required for the trial period, unless that has changed in Office 2007.
Did you purchase a new computer with Office 2007 installed already?
If so all you need to do is pay Microsoft for the software product key, and install just the product key as normal.
Re-installation of the software is not required.
