Question about MSI K8MM-V Motherboard
I tried moving a SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 audio card from one PC to another (an msi k8mm-v). The SB Live! software seems to install the drivers, but upon reboot, Windows reports a missing DevCon5.dll. SB diagnostics simply report the card is not installed. Windows add new hardware wizard can't find a suitable device driver on the SB CD or on the Internet.
I presume I should disable the on-board audio, can't find a CMOS option to do that. What do I need to do?
Locate the file from your other machine and copy it over. it will most likely not be the only missing file.
Windows device manager will almost never find a suitable driver on the web and you may need to locate it yourself from the installation cd.
