Somewhere in the tv menu there is a place to make video adjustments. one should be for aligning the color guns. one is for red and the other two are green and blue. it will give you a cross in the center of the screen. it should also give you prompts to adjust the lines for centering and to save changes. this happens eventually on all rear projection tv sets.

I have a 60 inch Philips tv and the picture is kind of blury and a little red. What is tha caused from?

THREE possible reasons for this:
I will list each and describe for you:

1.) If redish picture go to a black and white channel; is the screen somewhat red or black and White? This is adjustable from inside the set.

2.) If colors are skewed or look like they have a red outline it may be a convergence problem. See attached photo.

3.) Some of these sets develop a problem with the coolant which is used to keep the face of each of the three tubes cool; it is called Glycol. You would have to remove back cover and with set on look into each of the three lens (red,green,blue) to see if you have a clear red, green and blue picture.

Which best describes your problem?

The middle of the picture is fine but the sides of the picture look like they are double with a red outline

The TV has a convergence problem, the IC’s for that circuit will need to be replaced. The cost for this repair runs around $450.00 or more.

Thanks for choosing FixYA, Big Irish.

Red outlines around, and zigzagging thru the picture.

If you were to put an all white image on the screen, would there be evidence of this red color in the picture? If so, its likely that the light engine has gone bad. One or more of the LCD panels inside has been damaged by the heat from the lamp. This is an expensive part to replace. It never hurts to contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Red outlines and red lines on my panasonic PT-52LCX65

Good Day;
It sounds like you have a Convergence Circuit concern, with PAN replace with originals (STK392-110), using different "TYPES", ( that you may see on some sights, DO NOT), will draw too much current and you will have premature failure.
Good Luck, big IRISH.-

Red color on screen is warped on my LCD projector TV.

Normally the oily fluid coming from a picture tube, is the coolant from the tube. It's very combustible and have been known to start a fire. You have two problems in this set. A leaking blue picture tube. A convergence circuit that needs repaired. Call a local servicer and see if they will give you an estimate over the phone. It's time to start looking for a new digital set. Good Luck.
