My RCA model D52W19B tv power button goes on than blinks twice and turns off no picture or sound whats wrong?

my guess is you either have a satellite or cable box try unplugging the system cable or satellite and set for 5 minutes and then plug them back and and restart the unit up and see if it comes back the gemstar module would some times lock up causing this problem . and please let me know if that get's you working or if there is more trouble shooting to be done

Sounds like a coil is vibrating or a component is bad causing the transformer to whine. Could possibly just need soldering.

CK capacitors cp150 cp114 cp120 if cp150 is puffed up on top it is bad so replace all 3 caps.2200uf 16v and two 220uf 35v

ON Deflection board there is 3 capacitors that most of the time will cause set not to startup cp150-cp114-cp120. values 2200uf 16v, two 220uf 35v, you buy caps at Radio Shack.

sounds like the flyback is whats causing the problem, as the light flashes 3 times when you press power. You can get a replacemnet flback at the following link with free tech support to explain how to install it. You ned flyback 259296. here is the link.

#1 When I turn on the TV the power button comes on then blinks 6 times then goes off for a few seconds then repeats the cycle. I have sound over my surround system during this time but no picture.
#2 My sound would crackle and pop every once and a while until now it does nothing. I have to watch it with the surround sound on.

Right now i have two of theses sets in my shop and what i am finding out is they have big problems with bad flybacks and high voltage tripplers.both of these set have now shut down and will not come back on so how much is all these parts ,will post that when i find out!
