Y'all should go to http://www.mymusix.com and download the "player update" (among other tools) to solve this problem. I just bought a returned one today from Radio Shack and had to spend over an hour to get it calibrated properly. It was pretty crazy...I had to press down on "play" and the "reset" buttons simultaneously and then plug in the USB cable, let go of "reset" and then let go of "play" once the "player update" software recognized the darn thing. It's now working perfectly and actually a great deal for $20.
Hopefully you can use the FAQ section on mymusix.com and figure it out exactly, otherwise I'd be happy to give you the step-by-step instructions I followed.
i got the exact same problem, i press the on button, and it says "MyMusix" for a long time then stops, when i put it in the comp. is says: DO NOT DISCONNECT! and now even more recently it wont do anything at all
