Should not be necessary as the casing is designed to drain condensate toward the back when it is installed level .

Why my air conditioner it's dropping water?

Condensation is normal but window air conditioners bases must be tilted to the outside of the window so the condensation drains outside. The drain hole in the pan can plug with dirt overfilling the pan allowing the water to leak inside your home.

If your window a/c unit is tilted at 5% will it drain properly

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you want to know if your Frigidaire air conditioner, model# FAC126P1, will drain if it is tilted at 5%. I also see that there is no water draining or collecting on the coils. When your air conditioner was installed, you would have wanted to make sure that the top rail and sliding panels at each side were offset to provide the proper pitch to the rear of (5/16"). This is necessary for proper condensed water utilization and drainage. If you are not using the Side Panels for any reason, this pitch to the rear must be maintained! I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Hi, I have an air conditioner Frigidaire which is leaking in the front. The unit is in a window, in a 4th Floor and I don't have access to the back, how can I unclog the unit??. I am desperate!!!!

if it's just condensation leaking out the front of the unit it could be that the unit is not level in the window. If it's tilted too far into the room it will leak condensation into the room. Try to tilt it back just a hair so that the condensation leaks out the back of the unit.

Frigidaire FAC107S1A leaking water thru the inside of the house

Hello, first make sure the unit is tilted back in the window about a 1/4 inch. Also, check the drain on unit, sometimes they can clog and prevent condensate from draining.

FAC105P1A spitting water

Easy fix. reposition the unit to where is tilts slightly downwards in the rear so that the water will flow out the back instead of inside. NEVER drill any holes in a window unit.

My frigidaire window unit is leaking into my house. I removed the unit to clean the coils, this didn't remedy the problem. It is properly tilted to the outside.

behind the dilter is the evapator and behind the evaperator and underneath is the pan that holds the condensate. look at the pan and see how dirty if it is then clean it . Check the evap coil to be certain it is clean . and double check that it is tilted enough . 1 inch or a bit more hope this help let me know

We have found that our window air conditioner had water inbetween the windows. We had a heat advisories out for today so it was running for a while. It's in a upstairs window where it gets warmer then...

Quite often the window units need to be tilted slightly toward outside to allow drainage to run outside the window. Try pulling bottom inward slightly so rear is tilted downward at outside and see if that doesn't cure it. You should soon see dripping outside at back of unit where it should be. Make sure you check for small hole under back end and check that it is clean and open.

Need to know if I can connect a drain hose/tube to my air conditioner model # FAX054-P7A1. I'm having a problem with water collecting in the window sill/track

Hello, the first thing is make sure the AC is tilted a bit in the window, if it is level the water will collect toward the front of the unit and drip inside. Second if there is a drain hole on tne unit then you can connect a hose to it and let it drain. However if there is no drain hole then the unit uses tne fan blade to splash the water on the condenser and since the condenser is warm/hot it will condense the water.
