If your display is blank you always want t make sure its NOT in a sabbath or holiday mode (these are usually activated by holding your clock pad button for more then 3 seconds, try holding it again to reverse)

-IMPORTANT: ALWAYS SHUT POWER OFF TO UNIT BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS(unplug or shut off main control breaker, you can short the unit if you dont) If your LED is just out and you know, most the time you remove the four screws holding the backguard on, then there are normally just four more screws holding the control panel on, easy to change

I have a whirlpool built in oven. Model RBD275PDQ8. The display (control panel) went blank 2 months ago. I reset the breaker, nothing. Pushed buttons, it just beeps. 3 days later I pushed the upper oven...

it's the control panel behind that touchpad item. and it's not too difficult, just time consuming. My recommend is to grab a service manual online(usually around 20.00) which will provide good step by step, and also parts list.

spares? well, that's a good question. Until you have that part number, and the best way is to eyeball the one that's in side your unit(no offense to the printers, but mistakes can happen with manuals).

then you'll find out what it's like to be truly handy, eh?

Replace digital display for Jenn-Air range

Obviously, safety first. This being an electrical fix, unplug or otherwise disconnect the power to the appliance.
A philips screwdriver and 1/4" nut driver(or socket) are all that's needed.
First, there are 8 fasteners on the underside of the control panel. Only the 4 nearest the oven openning need to be removed from here.
Next, remove the burner knobs for the stovetop(simply pull straight off; if stuck, wrap a folded wash cloth behind the knob to gain extra leverage). Then remove the 4 screws that were behind the knobs.
At this point the panel should be loose and pulling out the bottom of the control panel will allow it to clear the knob shafts. Be careful not to pull too far, as the wires to the control board are rather delicate.

Digital display is blank

Most likely problem is the control board. either the screen is bad or the board is not telling the screen to light. The control board is usually all one part depending on the make and model. Please rate this post.

Where is the fuse panel located in Frigidaire Professional Series Slide in Cooktop range?

I can help , The fuse panel/control board is located behind the digital display in the front of the unit. Some drop in ranges are tricky getting into so be carefull when removing the face , there are screws under the display when opening the oven door look up and there may be a few more on the top side corners reveled when you pull the unit out 12" or so. there is a small glass fuse in the board some of these are not removable so if there is no digital display on your oven and your sure you have 240V to control board you will need to replace the entire control board. Hope this gets you there. Good luck let me know if you have anymore problems.

Digital display goes blank. If you tap the display it will come back for a little while.

sounds like a loose wire,, perhaps wven a loose connection to the low voltage transformer( suppling display) depending on model woould probably require replacing the control

Jenn-Air JES9860 burners and oven stopped working problem with display

sounds like you lost power to your stove. if you can't reset the clock, it needs to be replaced. in otherwords, the power outtage shorted out the clock.

have a technician replace it.

Display no longer works

Yes, I see this but it isn't real common.  The control board (eoc) will have to be replaced.  Most of them are costly.  If you give me the complete model # from the sticker on the oven (may be behind bottom drawer) I can check into this better for you and get you a price.

Clock and oven control display

This solution worked great for me. I can't believe it was only a samll little cap. Thanks a bunch for saved me a bunch.
Its real easy to do if you're handy.
IMPORTANT Turn circuit breaker OFF first
Open oven door
From underneath control panel remove 4 white screws with philips screw driver
this holds white cover strip
remove 4 hex head screws which will loosen the panel.
remove panel and support it's weight as many wires are connected.
remove 2 small plugs on board - you may need a small screw driver to pry away the locking mechanisms on the socket
Remove riggon type flat cable by squeezing black tabs on eand and lift up.
The board can now be removed by unclipping 2 of the clips holding the board while lifting up.
Take board to Radio Shack and ask for a suitable replacement for the C3 cap which is 35 volts and 68uf (microfarads). Remove and replace by careful soldering.
If traces lift off oard use a wire to jumper trace
ensure the cap goes in the same polarity there is negative signs on one side.
You can parallel caps to add uf together.
Voltage should be not less than 35volt slightly higher is OK.
