WE have a 1988 pace arrow with a 454 chevy that I bought this pass January. I have a vapor lock issue and was told that installing a in line fuel pump would correct this issue how ever our last trip we had the same problem pop up again. Our mechanic install the pump 2 feet from the engine. This week end I was told that the in line pump should of been installed near the fuel cell. Which of this locations is correct. Thank you!

An electric fuel pump should be near the fuel tank. They are made to push fuel not pull fuel.

I also have a 1988 pace arrow, and yes wrench 31 is correct. it has 2 fuel pumps. electric pump in-tank and a mechanical pump on the engine. i "believe" that u CAN substitute an electric in-line fuel pump 5-9lbs close to tank in lieu of in-tank pump replacement.

1979 Leocraft Motorhome. With a 454. When the engine gets hot it stops receiving fuel. Any ideas? Changed fuel pump and collapsed fuel line section.

Sounds like vapor lock. Vapor lock happens when the fuel in the lines gets way to hot and boils/vaporizes and causes stalling . Have the fuel lines wrapped in an insulated wrap or relocate them away from heat sources. Sometimes winter grade gasoline will cause this also.

Detailed wiring diagram required for 1993 Pace Arrow RV.

I just recently purchased a 1993 Pace Arrow and I believe I may have all paperwork on the 454 engine but its a gas engine. Not sure if it helps but I also remember seeing a chevy chasis book in the package.

I have a 1986 454 C30 silverado dual fuel tanks . my fuel pump is split so got a new but the new 1 only has one 3/8 in port , and the old has two a 3/8 and 1/4 , is the 1/4 one a return line

Short answer, yes. It is to reduce the chances of a vapor lock forming by returning vapor and hot fuel back to the tank and keeping cool fuel circulating through the pump.

Need transmission info for 1988 Chevy Silverado 454 C3500 dually

got a clutch pedal in there? If auto, it could be a 700r4 or some variation of that. You can likely get exact info from a dealer if you give them the vin #.
