Hi joondalup,
If you have just replace the icemaker and reset your filter allert, you should just be able to wait for a few days and it should be fine. When you replace the filer you loose some water that is built up in the lines and filter, the icemaker will have to cycle a few times just to fill the filter and lines back up. So give it a day or two and it should start working. If it was not making ice before you changed the filter than you may have another problem. I really hope I helped you, good luck. mca0824@aol.com

Hello. My G.E. Monogram water dispenser trickles water after we get water from it. We have to keep a cup there to catch the excess water. How do I fix it so it stops as soon as we get water out of t


Try replacing the Water Valve. It is located in the back of the refrigerater, left side. You should see three tubes connected to it. This part fixes the following symptoms - Leaking water, Water dispenser will not dispense water, Ice maker will not make ice and Ice maker won't dispense ice. GE part#WR57X10032. The Water Valve is extreemly easy to replace. Only takes about 15 mins total time to remove, install and confirm. I just replaced mines..my problem went from leaking water to no water was dispensing at all. I have the GE Profile, it uses the same water valve as your GE Monogram. There is a You Tub video that also shows how to replace. Good Luck!

water valve dripping like a faucet and making a big old ice cube in the fill tube? Ice cube hung in the ice maker? bad water filter? A wittle bit of all of the above?

Have you checked your water valve? I dont have your model number but you could have what you call a double water valve and one side of it may be out, alternately you may need to change your water filter if you havent done that yet. I have seen were the water stops dispensing first and then stops making ice. have you changed the filter lately? If not change it then if that doesnt work check water inlet valve...

i would first check water supply to ref. measure the resistance of coil either open or resistance. if all this is ok then exit side of line needs to be checked for water.

I'm just a home owner, not an expert. Could be a frozen line. I think GE has had problems with this. I think they've retro-fitted their doors with better insulation that prevents the lines from freezing.

common low flow is a kinked line or a bad water valve, the solioid valve has a filter that may be dirty. then go from there

Ge monogram water line


the water dispenser does not dispense water, although i can hear the motor running, but water is reaching the ice maker.
any tips?


You may have a clogged water line or filter something blocking the flow of the water or you may have to replace the filter or a water line – it may have a defective sending unit / pump and it would be wise to check it out with a regular service tech and to also check your owner’s manual for troubleshooting.
