I am having the same problem with my washer. Sears diagnosed the washer and say I need the motor replaced. I would like to verify the motor is bad before ordering a new one. 10 pins on connector make it difficult to check resistance. Where can I find what the resistance should be between suspect pins.

Does the tub spin at all? When you say it does everything, are you implying that it fills and drains, but the tub does not tumble or spin? I just need some clarification.Does the tub spin at all? You may be right, but before you rule completely on the motor, have you checked the Spin Control (sometimes referred to as a Motor Control Unit)? My experience with this unit usually has the Spoin Control board going bad more frequently. There should be a tech sheet located inside the washer behind the front panel under the door somewhere. The tech sheet should include all steps necessary in determing how to rule whether the motor windings are good, or the whether Spin Control board has failed. If you decide to replace the parts yourself, you can find them at repairclinic.com and searspartsdirect.com. Repairclinic has better pricing, but Sears has better diagrams used in parts identification and troubleshooting. The parts you may need are as follows:
Repairclinic:
Item 1206430 Spin Control
Item 823073 Motor-sole

You did not post the model number but when a front loader wont spin at high speed it usually means that a spring or shock absorber on the drum is broken or came off.
you can check two things,. One is, is the belt broken or stretched, the other is the motor, is the motor turning if the motor is turning then replace the belt. If the motor is not turning replace the motor.
My Frigidaire front loader washer model LTF2140E doesnt want to drain the water when set to wash (heavy-normal-quick selectors). It washes put thats it. I have to switch the selector to drain/spin then rinse/spin cycle to finish the load. I checked the drain hose for any clogs....everything is clear. Any suggestions? Also,iIs their any reset buttons for this type of washer?
THERE IS NO BELT ... IT IS USUALLY THE LOADING DOOR SAFETY SWITCH THAT SHUTS OFF WASHER WHEN DOOR IS OPENED DURING SPIN CYCLE. THAT SWITCH CAN GO BAD.
THIS IS NOT AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR ...
