Fisher & Paykel Dishdrawer DS603

My F&P dishdrawer doesnt work. No lights indicated on the control pannel. No beeps. Power is there at the powerpoint.

What could be the problem? Is there a fuse gone. If so how to replace and how to open the control pannel.

Please help.

Hi, I was given a DS603 that didn't power up. The mains filter board/flood switch had obvious damage - the resistors where black. I replaced the board but still nothing happens when power is connected. So I replaced the main controller board as it appeared to have damage to the main capacitor on it. Unfortunatley still nothing when power is connected. I'm starting to suspect that my replacement mains filter board is also faulty but maybe I'm missing someting simple. Any ideas?

Hi, I am looking at a friend's faulty Fisher and Paykel DD601v2 dual drawer dishwasher. It had lost power in the bottom drawer about a month ago and now the top drawer has done the same. Removed and opened up the control modules. Both control modules have the following symptoms: Signs of high voltage tracking (arcing) between legs of diode D710 and capacitor C708 (black sooty traces) on the legs closest to the edge of the circuit board; Fuse F701 is open circuit; Bridge rectifier diodes D704 and D707 are short circuit. On one control board I cleaned up the sooty tracking marks and replaced the fuse F701 (slow blow) and all four bridge rectifier diodes (D704, D705, D706, D707) with 1N4007 (they originally were 1N7005). Reinstalled controller and dishwasher worked for one complete dishwasher cycle. Next day found main panel was dead again (no power). Opened up control module and found: evidence of more high voltage arcing between diode D710 and capacitor C708; Fuse F701 blown again, and this time bridge rectifier diodes D705 and D706 blown. Can it be that voltage controller U701 (a TOP227Y device) is faulty too? I'm not sure how to test U701 (any ideas?). Note that C708 appears Ok (it is not short circuit) and diode D710 seems to test OK (conducts in just one direction). Anyone have any ideas? Note, there is NO tech troubleshooting guide or schematic inside the dishwasher and none would be supplied by the local Fisher and Paykel "Customer Care". Very unhelpful. Any suggestions out there for a component-level repair suggestion? This machine cannot be the only one that has this fault. My e-mail is I will be happy to post any solution that I receive that works to help others. Cheers Aussie John

    Dead ds603.
removing the front panell, about 10 fat roaches poured out and headed for the kickboards like something out of a B grade horror movie. Returning with gloves I removed the controller and opened the box to find a baby fried to the underside of the board shorting out a regulator??? 3 pin package hot side to ground. Does anyone repair these boards.... ??? in brisbane???
or, can I get a schematic??

2 quarter sized circles on either side of drawer will release the drawer fronts and allow acess to the electronics, behind the bottom drawr taped to back wall of unit is a troubleshooter/techsheet which might prove to be very helpful

Fisher and Paykel twin dishdrawer

there is water in the base setting off the flood sensor, you will need to remove the bottom draw and dry the water up with a towel (make sure the power is off and unplug it from the power point) then you will need to do a bit of testing to locate the cause of the leak, if your lucky the leak was caused by incorrect dish stacking or something too big in the draw

How do I reset the f1 flood button . Dd603ss

Not sure if you have managed to fix the F1 problem with your dishdrawer. This is a common problem and occurs mainly due to water leaking into the base of the dishdrawer under the bottom drawer.
But if it is occuring only in one drawer then the power filter at the base of dishdrawer is faulty and needs replacement.

Otherwise make sure the mains power to dishdrawer is turned off. Pull out the bottom drawer and stack in some towels behind it if you can to remove the moisture sitting on the base. The flood switch is located there. Then take a hair dryer and run it down behind the drawer to dry things. Push drawer back and turn power back on. Now if you cannot reach the back of the drawer then you will have to pull the drawer out from its rail. Refer the installation manual for this. See link page 7.

The top dishwasher of my Fisher&paykel Paykel DDd603 &DS603 model ontinuallly beeps. I tried unplugging the power for several hours and it still beeps. Any recommendations ??

Assuming the bottom dishdrawer is working ok, it is likely the controller on the top drawer is either faulty or sensing some incorrect signal. If pressing any of the panel buttons makes no difference, then most likely the controller is faulty.

By the way I am unclear why you mention two models in your problem description. DD603 is a double drawer dishwasher and DS603 is a single drawer unit.

Errors and restarts

will need a description of the problem. Some of the common fault codes are F1, F2 and F3.
All these fault codes stop the dishwasher and will not go away until the cause is removed. Please indicate the problem you are experiencing.

Fisher and Paykel dishdrawer, lid not retracting, no power.

By no power you may be implying there is no display etc and the swithces are not working. Most likely the controller of the top drawer has had it. The controller is mounted on the front of the drawer behind the door panel. Hope things are better than that.

Top drawer Fisher & Paykel Dishdrawer no lights lcd

Your original problem, F4, was the machine trying to tell you that the heater plate was not working. When you turned the drawer up-side down, you may have damaged the wiring harness. If you do get a technician, call a fisher paykel authorized servicer, not an independent, and make sure you tell him about the F4 problem. A new problem has been introduced by the cleaning procedure, and both issues will need to be resolved.
