I need a new knob for my carrier through the wall air conditioner. I looked into the back of the broken knob and found part number.

How do I find out if the Air Conditioning Service Repairman has qualifications to service or repair my Air Conditioner.

I would suggest joining Angie's List, which has a database of qaulified repair people in most local areas of the USA in various fields, including AC. Each listing will have customer reveiws on the repair people, which helps cut down the number of bogus repair techs.

I need a master control knob. I don't know the model number of the Emerson Quiet Kool air conditioner.

Without the Model Number, it's hard to know what knob fits your model. However, the link below, may provide some help. But, having the Model Number would be a bulls eye. Remove the front of the AC unit. There may be a manufacturer's data plate inside, which would provide the model number.

Hope this helps you.

The control knob on my Carrier model Vision Aire window air conditioner broke. I'd like to buy a replacement know to control the fan.

Jules, without a correct Model Number (not Vision Aire, that's just a glitzey name), it's hard to steer you in the right direction on where to find the knob. If however, you can come up with a correct model number, you can go to the link below and search for it by your Model Number.

Hope this helped you.

I need to know how to replace the wick and what size wick is required, I guessed a 95mm. The dial that controls the wick wont stay turned holding the wick up so i cant light the heater. would this be due...

It possibly could, if the wick is not installed properly. Also, the height mechanism (the control knob and the gears) may have lost it's tension and will need to replaced.

However, without knowing what brand/manufacturer and model number kerosene heater you have, there's not much more I can tell you.

We have lost our manual and need to replace some parts to unit. Where on unit can we find the number or model numbers. We have looked everywhere and can not find any information? Please HELP its cold in...

There should be a rating plate on the inside of the burner compartment. It may be on either side or front of burner. This should have the model number and serial number stamped or printed on it. If you can't find it there then look in the blower compartment. There may be a wiring schematic with some info. that will help you.Good luck and thank you.

Broken Knob for fan control

once you take off the front housing, the switch itself shoud be easy to remove and replace...sometimes, a used appliance store/repair office can get a suitable replacement part. Trick is to mark the wires as you remove them from the switch and take hte switch with you while you go part hunting. Also would help to have model and serial number (and brand name) noted to take along. Papdaddy
