The top two water water arms do not spin

These spray arm will only get water several times in the wash and rinse cycle. They do not turn at the same time the lower (bottom large spray arm under the bottom rack).
There is a chamber that diverts water either to the bottom sprayer or to the top sprayers, not to both at the same time.
If your top spray arms never get water, then there must be an issue with that chamber motor to divert the water. A new sump assembly that has all the new parts.
Good luck.

Frigidaire Model FDB780RCB0 I am getting water in the machine but it seems the arms are not turning what can I do to get that fixed?

The pump in the dishwasher is supposed to provide enough water pressure to turn the spray arms and make them rotate. The pump is faulty and not giving enough pressure or the arms are stuck.
Try spinning the arms, if they rotate smoothly, you will need to replace the pump.

I have to initate the spinning of the sprayer arm.

uasally it isnt the spinning of the spary arm that does the fill it is controlled or a timed fill then the motor comes on if there isnt enough water in the unit it will not have enough pressure really need more info though

No water pressure.. bad pump or motor?

Try filling water from the front manually. Check whether every thing works normal.

If works OK, check your water inlet for free flow.Try the inlet hose externally by flushing water through the hose.

Check whether any air lock. If air lock noticed, air will flow in broken streams.Flowt will become OK after some time.

Try now in the machine by connecting.

Sprayer arm wont spin and soap sits in bottom

Hi-- Could be, but let's go over this stuff first. Remove the sump cover and spin the pump blade on the end of the motor.  If it is difficult to turn or 'rough' feeling, then motor is probably bad.  One time I found a bottle cap that a little Dennis the Menace had put in the dishwasher.  It made a perfect plug for the sump intake!  Anyway, if you can pull and re-install a dishwasher then replacing one of these pumps is easy. Part is about 140$.  Let me know if this info helps.  Please acknowledge this post. Thanks-Ed

Motor spinning? Arms not turning.....

When the dishwasher fills can you hear the wash motor does it make a humming noise if so it may be blocked if it makes a rattling noise the impellor may have broken off. I dont recommend sticking a screw driver in it from behind you may damage the windings.

Quiet Series 100

It sound like a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher. The motor (and pump) located beneath the dishwasher. Check if pump spins when it should force the water up into the sprayer arms. In case it doesn't spin you should replace the pump. Good luck !

GE Dishwasher

It could be a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle,it pushes the water out of the dishwasher. The motor and pump are located beneath the dishwasher. Look if the pump's impeller (a round plastic fan blade-type of device) spins around freely. In case it doesn't spin freely, look if it doesn't blocked or stuck from any other reason. Good luck!

Jenn_air model #JD8910AWS won't drain

I was having the following symptoms: If I hit the drain button, it would stay at 2 minutes and just click on and off. If I hit the rinse button, it would rinse all 9 minutes OK. It would always stick in the middle of a full cycle and just start clicking.
I just fixed it. I shut off the circuit breaker, opened the door up (all torx screws from inside of door) to get the the upper controls. One lead (of two) of a capacitor (square blue component) had actually worked itself out of the control board. I cleaned it up and resoldered it in. All better now - for now.
