Bear in mind that 901's require exclusive use of any amplifier they use. You shouldn't expect to use conventional speakers alongside them on the same amp. The reason is that the 901's require the use of their dedicated Active Equalizer to shape the frequency spectrun to match their drivers' response curves, resulting in a flat sound output. Applying that kind of equalization to any conventional speakers will sound to sharp at the extremes and may even potentially damage them.

For connection I would run a pair of RCA cables from the L&R Audio Line OUT of whatever preamp or source you're using to the Active EQ's Line IN; then the EQ's Line OUT to a NAD amp's Line IN. DEselect any Tape options on the Active EQ, attach the 901's to the new amp, set the NAD volume controls pretty high (and leave them alone), run through any level setup procedures in your control electronics for volume, etc and you're done.

Will bose 901 speakers work with a AVR-4308CI

Yes they will, I have a set on a denon receiver amp ( not sur of the model # its in another town). The main thing for bose 901's is that the equlizer has to be connected somewhere beteen the preamp and the main amp, most higher power amps have a switch that opens a set of patch cord jacks that the Eq. can be connected thru. So you should verify this feature with any amp you chose. With out the Eq connected the 901's have no bass or highend sound.

Not sure of how to wire these speakers ( internal ) Bose 901 series iv

Found on Google Search: "bose 901 internal wiring" You must first identify which series you have. The first two series were acoustic suspension, and used nine 8 ohm drivers in a series/paralel configuration. Series III through VI used nine .9 ohm drivers all wired in series. Series III and IV had an additional terminal for use only with the Bose Spacial Control Receiver. Series III through VI are easy to identify, as there are three ports sticking out the back of each enclose. The 1st two series have no ports.

`Which ampliphier is compatible for my Bose 901 series 6 with equilazer.

Ideally, an amplifier or receiver should have either a "Tape Monitor" selector switch and Tape Input & Tape Output jacks, OR have Preamp Output & Amp Input jacks to enable insertion of the Bose Active equalizer into the circuit before the amplifier stage. Power requirements - according to the 901 Series VI manual:

"Your 901 speakers are designed to work compatibly with receivers or amplifiers rated from
10 to 450 watts per channel."

I have a Bose 901 Series VI speaker system & have recently purchased a Pioneer VSX-1020-K AV Receiver. How do I connect the 901's EQ to this amp. I believe the only option is the CDR/TAPE IN/OUT...

This receiver has no pre-amp outs to drive the required separate amp the 901's need for you to continue to have multichannel digital audio. The reason: activation of a tape loop disables digital inputs. But they DID give you Front Height. Oh boy.

Hi to double check

Not sure what you're asking. Can you restate the question with no typographical errors?

I can think of no reason why Bose 901's and this, or any, good amplifier would not be a good match as long as you have the Type VI Active Equalizer that goes with the speakers. I would connect the Active EQ where the Pre Out2/Main In jumpers are.

Bose 901 and Tube amp

Yes! When the Bose ~Steve901 first came out that was the amplifier of choice -like the McIntosh classic amps. The 901s have their own equalizer as that speaker system is a phased-array,
