THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME I'VE REPLACE THE INK BUT I'VE NEVER GOTTEN THESE MESSAGES. OH, OF COURSE, THE PROBLEM IS I CAN'T COPY ANYTHING.

You have to change the cyan (blue) color, too. Its empty ;-)

The machine runs a cleaning circle which always consumes some amount of ink of ALL colors.

I just changed my yellow ink and printer is still saying no cartilage need to replace

Hi there,
No Cartridge will show on the display if the machine cannot recognize one of the cartridge or one of the ink is empty. Try to unplug the mach from the power outlet then plug it back in after 10 seconds. If the display show "ink empty C" it means the cyan/blue needs to be replace. "ink empty M" it means the magenta/pink needs to be replace. "ink empty BK" it means that the black needs to replace.
Hope this helps. Rate if it works. Thanks

What does cyan mean on a brother 240-c all in 1 printer it says replace cyan it wont do nothing

Cyan is the "blue/green" ink cartridge which is required to print in full color. Some printers stop working when one or more ink cartridges is empty. Get a complete set for some savings and for the next cartridge that gets empty. Printers are cheap now, it's the ink that gets costly.

I have a Brother MFC-620CN just changed the ink cartridges but the printer still says ink is empty and won't print

Hi
I have looked it up for you and what I found is.

Title:
I replaced my ink cartridge, but the LCD is still displaying "Ink Empty". What can I do?
Description: This is typically caused by an incorrect selection made during the LCD prompting after a cartridge is replaced. When an ink cartridge(s) is replaced, the LCD will ask, "Have you removed Blck? 1 Yes 2 No". This question will be asked for ALL 4 colors in sequence, regardless if the color was replaced. If "1 Yes" is NOT selected for the color(s) that was replaced, the LCD will return to "Ink Empty". Do the following to clear the message:

  1. Pull the scanner cover release lever located below the control panel and lift the top cover.

  1. After 15 seconds, re-close the top cover and then re-close the control panel cover.

  2. The LCD will then display Have you removed Blck? 1 Yes 2 No.
The LCD will display this question for ALL 4 colors (not just the ones replaced). BE SURE to select 1 YES for each ink cartridge that was replaced.
If 1 Yes is selected, the LCD will then display Change to new (color)? 1 Yes 2 No. Again, BE SURE to select 1 YES.
Note "Change to new (color)?" will only appear if 1 Yes is selected for "Have you removed (color)?" If 2 NO is selected for the "removed" question, the LCD will then move on to the question for the next color.

My printer says install magenta what does that mean

It means for you to install the magenta ink. Magenta is a color. You have 4 colors. Yellow, magenta, cyan, black

The digital display on the printer will tell you which color is low and when it needs to be replaced, either black, magenta, cyan, or yellow.

Mfc-240c reading offline and empty black

Regarding your problem: If one of the color ink cartidges is out of ink, the MFC 240C printer will not operate when you only install a black ink cartidge. It requires that all four catridges have ink available in them for it to function. When you examine a cartridge it may appear that it has a little ink in it when you get message that the cartridges needs to be replaced because a little ink remains to prevent the print head from drying out. New ink cartridge istallation: Brother MFC-240

I guess you d used generic ink carts?!
If yes, the cart holder needs replacement due to ink that has stained the led control. The ink has made a short circuit. The error can only be deleted by replacing the whole cart holder!

did you replace with brother carts, are you sure machine is refering to mag and yellew being mt, not the other ones, power off, remove all carts, power on , reinsert carts one at a time answer machine when prompted. these cartridges are deemed empty even when they look like they have a little ink left. Try putting in 4 new brother inks
