I can't help with just the information "It's broken." Taking it to a local electronic repair or sending it into sony if you still have a warranty, or without, is also a good choice.
hello. maybe the blue laser that play the ps3 games and bluray disc might be broken. if your ps3 plays ps2 games and dvds, then im afraid you have to replace your broken laser of your ps3. you can also try reformatting your drive. hope this helps. goodluck!
seems like you need to go buy a lens cleaner from bestbuy or something. Run it repeatedly untill it works. sometimes it takes a while. But it will work after. please rate@
Your PS3 is overheating and the system is shutting itself down to save itself from serious damage. If your PS3 is in a closed, confined space, get it out in the open. Make sure that none of the vents are being blocked. If there is alot of dust around the vents of the PS3, clean it out with compressed air.
If this does not alleviate the problem, there might be an internal issue such as dried out thermal paste or a broken fan. If you are comfortable in doing so, you can take apart the PS3 to fix these issues (many free tutorials are available online on how to take it apart, and spare parts are abundant on ebay). However, if your PS3 is still under warranty, it would be best to get them to fix it for free.
1. turn off your ps3 with switch at back 2.hold power button 3.(do this while holding pwr button) switch back on the ps3 4. if done correctly the ps3 should make a loud fan noise causing the fans to enhance for awhile, that should clean out anything that could overheat the ps3
Sometimes the red light will be flashing because there is a problem with the connection of the hard drive to the rest of the PS3 or the hard drive itself is broken. You can usually fix this problem by re-setting the drive. To do this, go to the side of your console and take out the hard drive. Then replace it in exactly the same position. If the red light is still flashing when you turn your PS3 on, you might have to get a new hard drive, or even a new PS3. Please post comments for more help or information..........
Your PS3 might have a broken fan. If you are using an external fan that attaches to the PS3 than stop, fans like the Nyko Intercooler and Pelican cause more problems with ventillation and may cause the PS3 to overheat. If heat is an issue make sure the system has plenty of room to breath and point a small fan at the console. If thiat doesn't work call Sony customer sopport.
This seems to be case that the ps3 has overheated before the owner sold it to you. Does your ps3 turn on and then dose it beep 3 times and the green light turn yellow and keeps on blinking. Or does the fan rev all the way up on the ps3. And does it turn back on when you want to turn it on or do you need to turn it off from the main power switch to turn it back on?
