The dishwasher does not complete a cycle. It starts the cycle just fine but then it stops after one minute. It seems like it gets stuck and won't move to the next step. I do hear a slight clicking noise similar to a clock ticking, like its trying to move on, but then it stops. It clicks three times. When I open the door the "fine china" light is on even though I set it on "normal". Is there a "re-set" button?

I checked the manual and the code; but it still won't let me reset it or fix it. I had an appliance repairman look at it and he said that the "brain" probably needed to be replaced.

When they stop working and a different button lights up, it is actually telling you whats wrong, it's a code. Your manual will tell what they mean or look it up here.

Stuck on washing cycle

Thank you for your post, Patrick Chow!

From my understanding your Frigidaire dishwasher is getting stuck in the washing cycle. Sounds like you may have a possible issue with a sensor or control panel. I would suggest performing a reset on your dishwasher and you can do that by disconnecting power from your dishwasher for approximately ten minutes. If you continue to experience problems with you dishwasher not cycling I would recommend reaching out to a technician for a diagnosis to be completed. The technician would be able to pinpoint the cause of the failure and complete repairs. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

please make this test and fix it. Merry Christmas
Float Switch

The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle.

Timer / Control

If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace the timer/electronic control.

Greetings,
usually, open and close door..then start counting the flashes. these will give you your fault code. The code then tells us where to go from there. off hand, i would say you have a heater problem.. Either, the water is not getting hot enough because of a faulty heater, or faulty thermostat. The button above the green light that flashes try and hold that down for a minute to reset....let me know about the flashes

you seem to be stuck in a 'quick rinse' cycle. double check your buttons as well as your timer/dial to see if you are using the normal wash cycle. especially check the buttons. good luck

Dishwasher will not run through its cycle

Hi

If the cycle doesn't complete, check these:

Water-heating cycle Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

  • On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

  • On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Timer Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

Please revert for further assistance and Do rate the solution as "FixYa" if found useful.

Thanks
