Question about Insignia Pilot MP3 Player

Resetting the device did not work. Any other suggestions? I checked the manual and loaded the audio per the instructions and the device is only accepting 7 mins instead of 90 mins.

Hi again Kateyann6,

If the reset isn't working then the unit may have a hardware defect that would require the unit be serviced. You can take the unit in to any Best Buy store to get the MP3 player serviced. If the unit is still under warranty you will need the receipt as proof of purchase to get service on the unit. If the unit is outside of the warranty period then the product can be sent out for repair at your cost.

I don't know if you have the original owners manual, so I am posting the pdf below. Everything that I have read indicates that your unit is a quality product. If your settings are correct per the manual, the manual states you should try resetting the unit per the instructions given on page 18. If that fails, I suggest you contact product support.

I had the same problem and resetting the system at the pool panel and remote (as per manual instructions) did not work. I found a solution on an online forum that suggested that the main power panel at the house be turned off, wait a few minutes, turn back on, then go out to the pool panel and restart the system.....it worked!

We have a sony grand wega KDF-E42A10. The picture is clear but we are not getting any input of red color. I'm sure it is out of warrenty.


I'm sorry that the TV is not displaying red color. Please follow the troubleshooting steps and check the operation:
  1. Please make sure that the connections are secure and proper.
  2. Try connecting a different video source like DVD player or VCR and check the operation. If it works with another device, the issue might be with the input device currently.
  3. Also try connecting the device to a different port in the TV if no other devices are available.
  4. If the issue persists, try with a different cable.
  5. Perform a power resetting and check the operation. To perform the power resetting, unplug the TV from wall outlet for more than 2 minutes and then reconnect it.
  6. If the issue persists, please change the Lamp of the TV to resolve the issue. XL2400 is the replacement Lamp for the TV. Please refer page # 86 of the Instruction Manual of the TV to get the instructions to change the Lamp. I'm providing the link to download the Instruction Manual for your reference. I have a Tevion AVR/2006. Soon as you turn it on, it comes up overload protect. Nothing works. Tried resetting nothing works. We have gone all through the manual & can not find anything in the...


The overload protect has activated because the audio output ic has shorted, as a thought! check all speaker connections to make sure wire has not crossed causing issues. I suggest a professional to further inspect your system.

How to set the time


Hi, I have a Pioneer DEH-2950MP and manual had wrong instructions for setting clock. Took me hours, but instead of "Function" as manual stated or as someone suggested "Audio", found that "Source" button held in with stereo in off mode brought up flashing clock to enable resetting. Try that. Good luck !

Follow the procedure below to troubleshoot wireless connection issues, including dropped connections, failed connections or low signal strength.
NOTE: Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, try connecting to the wireless network and view Web sites using the Internet Explorer after completing each step.
  1. Verify the physical wireless switch is turned on. Refer to the user's manual for instructions.
  2. Turn on the WLAN adapter using the Wireless Device Switch utility.
  3. Restart the Wireless Zero Configuration service.
  4. Reinstall the original wireless adapter driver.Uninstall the driver from device manager and reinstall it from the VAIO Recovery software. IMPORTANT: If model-specific information is required to use the VAIO Recovery software, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are available online through the Manuals/Specs/Warranty link on this page.
  5. If available, download and install a wireless adapter driver update from the Drivers & Software link on this page.
  6. If possible, test another computer on the wireless network. NOTE: If another computer is unsuccessful, contact the wireless router manufacturer or ISP to verify they are working properly.
  7. Remove the network bridge if one exists and then restart the computer.

  9. Check the WAN IP address of the router as per the manufacturer's instructions. NOTE: If the router is not getting a WAN IP address, the issue is likely caused by a problem with ISP.
    WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. If a router has been specifically configured (PPPoe, DSL, MAC address filtering, security, etc.), the settings will be removed by resetting the router and it will have to be reconfigured.
  10. Reset the router and/or modem per the manufacturer's instructions.
  11. If available, install a firmware update for the router and/or modem. Check the manfacturer's Web site for updates and instructions.

Touch screen doesnt work


Try cleaning it with soap and water on a cloth. DOO NOT SOAK IT. Let it air dry completely and then re-calibrate it. If still not working, try resetting the unit, per the manual.

Garmin 660 locked up / frozen


Resetting the device merely resets the power connection, on some devices there is a reset to manufacturer defaults on settings, but not your stored data. Working with GPS's 40 hours a week I constantly have to use the reset button when they lock up. Just press it in for a few seconds then if it doesn't power back up just hit the power button and everything should be fine.
