Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
When ever i am playing a game my console suddenly freezes with little tiny lines going down from it and it makes a disrupting noise the moment it happened. Next problem the infamous three rings of death or code error 0020 well all i can really say is when i turn on the console my screen is black and there is no sign of intelligence from the 360 but the three lites and it might be one of two things: VIRUS or the THERMAL PASTE LOCATED UNDER THE HEAT SINKS ARE NO LONGER GOOD AND NEED TO BE REPLACED.
at this time i am curently trying to fix the problem on my own because customer service does nothing but take your money and hand you trash all over again

Did you open the system up yet? If you didn't DON'T DO IT!!!! The three rings of death is an extremely common error on these things and Microsoft will repair it for free because the problem is so widespread that I think they almost got a class action lawsuit about it. If you remove the warranty sticker then I cant guarantee that they will repair it. The cause is not VIRUS or THERMAL PASTE. The real reason was leaked out by a Microsoft employee. The problem is caused by 1. A serous engineering flaw in the cooling system where the video hardware is under alot of stress and the cooling system cant handle the heat produced by the video hardware. 2. Most of the xboxes were assembled very quickly and not tested properly before leaving the factory and so the 3 rings of death actually mean a serious error in the backbone of the system. The reason this occurred was because Microsoft was so desperate to beat their competitor Sony and their PS3 to market. These days things are getting better because after loosing 2 BILLION on repairs for this piece of junk Microsoft has improved the design of the newer consoles on the shelves now.
Hopes this sheds some light
