Question about Acer AL1715 17" LCD Monitor
Failing capacitors in the power supply will cause this problem and it's fairly common accross all brands.
The parts are cheap, but the labour costs can be high.
If you cannot do this procedure yourself, and also understand the dangers of the electronics, then call several TV repair shops in your area to get a quote, you maybe surprised how much the price can vary.
Just advise them you need to have the capacitors on the power board replaced. It will help them give you a more accurate quote.
