In RedHat Linux we use sendmail to create a mail server that will relay your mail to a remote user's mailbox or incoming mail to a local mail box. On our RedHat we will find sendmail's configuration file as /etc/sendmail.cf. If you download and compile sendmail you would find it in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf. To configure sendmail you have basically 2 options. Either you edit the sendmail.cf file directly or you create the sendmail.cf from an m4 file such as sendmail.mc. After installation of sendmail package it locates as sendmail.mc in /etc/mail. In the sendmail.mc file I have find the line DAEMON_OPTION and edit it with # before the line to uncheck it. Then I find Local Domain and edit it also with the system FQDN. After editing save the sendmail.mc file. After exiting from sendmail.mc I moved this .mc file to sendmail.cf with m4. Here the SendMail configuration is complete. Then I go to the /etc/dovecot.conf file and edit it. I just find the protocol line and uncheck this line. After that I save this .conf file. After all configurations I have start the service demons with chkconfig command and restart the both services. And the mail server was going on swiftly.</SPAN><br> <p><span><span> </SPAN>So it is very easiest job to configure a mail server in RedHat Linux enterprise server.</SPAN>

How to get rid of ads on my screen when I go to my in box in Yayoo mail

You can either temporarily hide the ads that keep popping up on your Yahoo Mail page or block them permanently. To know how, refer to the steps below.

To temporarily hide ads (for free email accounts):
1)Sign in to your Yahoo Mail account
2)When, while viewing your list of emails or a particular email, an ad pops up, you can see a right-facing arrow between your email and the advertisement. Click on this arrow.
3)The ad will get hidden temporarily.
(Important: This blocks the ads temporarily only and as soon as you perform the actions like refreshing the Yahoo Mail page, marking a particular email as spam, replying to an email, or just clicking on any of the sections in the navigation-menu located on the left of the page, a new ad may pop up again).

To permanently remove graphical and text ads:
Yahoo Mail has recently come up with "Yahoo Ad Free Mail" service to enable you to get rid of graphical and text ads on a permanent basis when viewing your Yahoo Mail account from a computer. You need to sign up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account before starting using this service.
(Note: Before signing up for Yahoo Ad Free Mail account, please check if the service is available in your region. Also, even after subscribing to the service, the subscribers may still get the text ads that come up on Yahoo Mail on a mobile web browser and the text ads that come up in the "Basic Mail" interface of Yahoo Mail on a computer. To know what Basic Mail is, refer to the following Yahoo webpage: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mail-for-desktop/basic-mail-sln5171.html)
To know more about Yahoo Ad Free Mail service, refer to the following Yahoo webpage:

My computer keeps "auto-adding" contacts I already have. how can I stop this?

If you use Windows Live Mail to manage your Hotmail account, any email addresses that you reply to at least three times are automatically stored in your Address Book as frequent contacts. If this function is cluttering your contacts list and you want to deactivate it, you can do so through Windows Live Mail's Options dialog.

Open Windows Live Mail and click the "Show Menu" button, then "Options." Select the "Send" tab in the Options dialog box that appears. Uncheck the box next to "Automatically put people I reply to in my address book after the third reply" and click "OK."

I am not receiving any e-mail, senders say I have

Be sure to check to see what email address you used in your CraigsList AD.

If it is not a yahoo email account, that you have used at CraigsList, send emails to that address from other accounts and check to see if u got the mail. If u got the mail then u're good to go and well ok, customers are mistaken.

If you did not use a yahoo account in your AD for response emails then these senders are mistaken (perhaps).

If you do have a yahoo address associated with that AD then do the following:

1. Log into a different email account (from another provider) and send yourself an email at that yahoo account. Actually get a few people u know to send email also)

2. Log into your yahoo account and see if u were able to receive that email/s. If u are able to get the email from that other account then the problem is not with the yahoo account.

When i e-mail someone my e-mail shows to them but when i get mail back instead of my e-mail showing it's to national floors trend which is something i get e-mail's from time to time. how i can i correct...

Try adding a filter or "rule." If you don't wish to see these emails in your in box, just create a rule in whatever email client you use.

For example, if you use Outlook or Outlook Express, you create a rule that basically makes a sentence. Something like:

When I receive messages from "national floors trend," move them to the "spam" folder."

or "..., delete them."

Hope this helps.
