Coleman Evcon model DGATO70BDC Starts to run then stops?

My coleman Evcon model DGATO70BDC 1994 starts up and then locks out. The pilot lights and then furnace runs for maybe 2-5 minutes and all that is still running is the air chamber fan. I am thinking of just replacing all parts that could be responsible the problem. There's not much there as probably you know. There is no circuit board just basic electronic ignition, relays thermo senors and etc.. Any help would greatly be appreciated. James

What you have is an ignition problem and your unit is shutting down on safety.

Did you clean the pilot orfice?? It has a very small opening about the size of a hair. You may have to use a needle to open the opening....Are you getting gas to the pilot orfice assembly from the Gas Valve when you set it to Pilot?? If not then check the pilot adjustment screw on top of the gas valve at the pilot tube. CW decreases flow.

For sensor if you mean thermocouple that sits in the pilot light I say this is usually the problem. The thermocouple needs to heat up to a preset temp before it will allow the gas to remain on. Does the pilot light stay on? If so make sure you turn the gas knob to on from pilot/light

I have a coleman evcon and the gas keeps shutting off

The click noise you hear is the magnet inside the valve dropping out. Which means, the voltage that energizes it is low or interupted. Possible, weak pilot flame, bad thermocouple or bad secondary limit switch. This limit switch is located left of the main control. made of ceramic. It can also be a bad gas valve...

Does your furnace have an air flow sensor? Blowing out the lowest tube will sometimes clear it and allow your furnace to operate. Lack of differential pressure across the burner will cause a lockout.
