Hi,
If you go to HPs website.
look up the model number, and download the printer drivers.
Then re-install the drivers.
If it,s a USB Connection. turn off and unplug the Printer.
Restart the computer. Plug in the USB Cable and the computers device manager, should say new hardware Found, with the printers make/model. It will then ask you to install the drivers.
If you have the HP disk, insert into Drive CD/DVD and they should automatically install for you.

If you require further assistance, just ask.

Please do not rate this possible solution, until your problem has been resolved.

Many thanks Mike @ Compurepair.

Im assuming your using Windows XP

Go to Start>Printer & Faxes>Is there anything listed there?
If your printer is listed there then it is still installed. Also if your missing any icons that came with the printer you can get them for free from HP's website

Trying to play a dvd but it won't play. I have pressed every button possible..

Clean the DiscStep 1

Dampen a soft cloth or paper towel.
Step 2

Wipe the playing side of the disc with the damp cloth/paper towel. Wipe from the inside ring out to the edge in straight wipes. Do not wipe in a circular motion.
Step 3

Dry the disc with the same wiping manner. Now try playing the disc.

Screen freezes when reloading system disc

Instructions

Back up any important files already on your G4's hard drive. A factory restore completely wipes the system of all files you've created so, if possible, make sure you have another copy of all your files, images, music, etc.

Connect your G4 to its charger. Restoring the computer is a delicate process that erases and reinstalls the most basic and important files of your system. If the computer runs out of battery before the restoration is complete, files may be damaged or left uninstalled. The result of this varies from having to restart the process completely to permanent dysfunction of your computer. Play it safe. Make sure you have plenty of battery left and the computer is plugged into the wall.

Locate your Mac OS X Install CD/DVD. If you have lost the original disc or never received one (a common problem when purchasing used computers), there are a few options to consider. The first is to ask around; if you have friends or family with a Mac computer they may still have their CD. It would be usable on your computer. If this option fails, look online for a download of the installation CD. Some sites offer installation CDs for all kinds of computers, including the G4.

Insert the install disc into your computer's disk drive. Once visible, click the "Install Mac OS X" button. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your computer preferences and begin installation.

Select a destination disc for the installation. This is typically the "Macintosh HD" icon. Next, click "Options," and follow the rest of the on-screen prompts/instructions. After this, the software is installed. The computer should reset itself or can be manually reset by holding down the power button twice.

How to restore 5100 acer lap top to factory settings. Hard drive is wiped out.

what do you mean that the hard drive has been wiped out? did you reinstall a new operating system on the PC? if that so & you still want to bring back all the software & settings that came originally with this PC then you can try this.

How to Restore Acer Aspire 5100 to Factory Setting
Instructions
1
Open the "Start" menu, then click "All Programs" and place your mouse cursor over the folder labeled "Acer Empowering Technology." Select the "Acer Empowering Technology" icon from the folder.
2
Click the "Acer eRecovery Management" icon that is now on your desktop.
3
Click "Restore" at the bottom of the "Acer eRecovery Management" window.
4
Select "Restore system to factory default" from the "Restore" menu. The computer will restart and automatically begin the restoration process.

DVD-RAW Drive reads most DVDs But not reading this DVD

Visually inspect the bottom of the disc. Look for any medium to large scratches or pits. Try reading the DVD on a few different computers. If the DVD does not work on even some of the other computers, try taking the DVD to a used game store (GameStop/EB Games, for example) and ask them if they can restore the disc for you. They will probably charge you. If you are looking for a free method of cleaning up a disc, try taking glass cleaner (Windex, etc) and a paper towel to the bottom of the disc. Wipe the disc from inside out, not around in a circle. If all else fails, replace the disc.

I have a Dell Dimension 4700 that I am preparing to sell. I tried to use Dell PC Restore (Control, F-11) to get the computer back to the way it was when I purchased it, and delete my files. The system...

How you wipe the drive depends on what state you want the PC to be in when you sell it. Some of the Dell drivers may be needed for things like video, chipsets, the hard drive(s), modem (if equipped), the CD/DVD drives, sound, etc.

You can wipe the drive and just leave the operating system, then re-boot and see what the operating system finds and needs to install drivers for. That's where you'll need the Dell discs.

Then go to "My Computer", right-click the icon, choose Properties, click the hardware tab and click the Device Manager tab. Check the list of installed devices and if you have any question marks or explamation points. If you do, you may need to install additional drivers for those devices or get them from the vendor on the internet.

A government wipe can be 1 pass, 3 pass, 7 pass DoD, Schneier, or 35 pass Gutmann (takes a long time).

I usually wipe the drive, re-format it, re-install the operating system and drivers and then sell it. This is also a good time to open the case and blow all the dirt out of it. Don't do this in the house - it can make a mess.
