Question about Toshiba e-Studio162D Copier
Joe, to replace the drum, you need to remove the cover from the front of the drum unit it has three locking tabs, one removed, take main charger/grid unit out, located on the top of drum unit, two screws one on each end. the drum is held in with a cam lock shaft located on the front of the drum unit, turn it couter clockwise, your drum can now be removed,it's recomended that you replace the cleaning blade also, two scews. you'll have to coat the new drum with toner and manually turn it against the new cleanig blade,if you dont the blade may flip and ruin your new drum.reassemble

The e-STUDIO162 Series can do GDI printing out of the box. It can do PCL printing if the optional GA-1170 controller is installed. The GA-1170 is attached to the back of the MFP and connects to the USB port. Postscript printing is available if the Postscript option has been installed on the GA-1170.
