Question about Epson ACULASER CX11NF All-In-One Printer

Worn K Dev Unit - can I get service for the CX11NF in the Greater Vancouver BC area?

Printer is out of warranty, and a call to Epson revealed that apparently the nearest Epson service centre to Vancouver BC for the CX11NF is in Québec?!?!?! I assked if they could give me any other contacts, even one in the States, but to no avail. So far there are no print quality issues, but we can't be without the printer so I'd love to solve this before it DOES become a big problem.

Please, can anybody point me in the direction of someone who can service this printer, or shed some light on what the message "Worn K Dev Unit" means? Google seems to be failing me here. I did read a thread regarding the C1100N, but am unsure if that model is similar enough that I can apply that advice.

    How do I reset the dev unit. Epson has supplied one to me. But refuse to give me the reset procedure.

    Thanks for all your help. Turns out we did nothing wrong the reset we initially used was the correct one. The client dug out a two year warranty. We called Epson for them and arranged a warranty agent to go out to them. The problem was deeper. I believe in the end Epson replaced the whole developer assembly.

    If the problem was that easy I wouldnt have asked for help. I have been doing this for 15 years. Already fitted dev unit and reset the machine through the user reset. The machine reset, but as soon as the customer turned the MFC off and on the worn dev unit sign came back. Thanks for the manual link, all I need though is how to get into the tech service mode to see if I can reset the machine from there.

If Epson have provided you with a new Dev unit ( black plastic thing with a roller and black powder in it), get a service manual so you can install it. It is VERY straight forward and if you can use a screw driver and have opposable thumbs, you should be able to do it about 20 minutes.

I understand that Quebec may far from where you're located at having a service manual is practical but risky. It may do damage than make better. What I'm try to say is you choose to use the service manual or send it for service. Nothing can replace the hand of an expert and experience in handling such a valuable piece.

hello!

Do you use a required paper substance, this also a cause of paper jump, Or this machine maybe need a general cleaning to all each parts because the sensor that cause to paper jump is not function well. You should properly seat all the parts after cleaning it. and if this not resolve then, to drive an hour to the repair tech maybe is the best solution.

Epson Acculaser CX11NF Error 'Service Req E527'


Hi.. To fix the E527 error, close the front panel (cover A) and open the top cover (cover B). With the photoconductor unit removed, the toner carousel will rotate. It only rotates if cover A is closed all the way. You can easily rotate the carousel to a position where you can remove/reinstall the toner cartridge if stuck.

Looking for an epson CX11NF field service manual


Hi-

Try going to compassmicro.com, epson's distributor. check if there is an exploded diagram for the unit. Then go to support.epson.com look for for the model under printers then click on manuals. I can't guarantee you will get the service manual but you will find lots of info for the printer.

Fax Receives but does not print


You have a known issue with your unit, the unit will require a firmware update. The issue is known to epson and they should fix it under warranty. Contact your local epson service centre or contact epson direct in your country. If they try to charge you, scream loudly at them, advising them that this is a known issue with this model and they are obliged to repair it. You will find they will fix it without too much objection.
