I do not think there is a way to get full screen without the remote control.
Here is a link where you can find the remote.

SOURCE: NO REMOTE

Hi there. The actual button option that you will need to use for this adjustment will be the aspect button and, unfortunately, this button is only on the remote and not on the TV itself. If there is a control panel located on one of the sides of this set, you may be able to push the menu button here and navigate your way threw the menus screen to the aspect option. I suspect you will need the remote.

We have a Mitsubishi 73" tv that produces a dark picture. This tv came without a remote...where can we access the settings menu to brighten the picture?

You will need to buy yourself a Universal remote control that comes with a complete set of instructions to get tour TV to be controlled by it. After getting the on/off code working, go to the Menu and set up the settings.

The pip got stuck using a universal remote..i cannot clear it no matter what button I use

If you can access the Menu options with your present universal remote, get into it, and surf thorugh picture adjustment and PIP adjustment screen, and set the PIP option to OFF. If you can't access the Menu option with your present remote control, there is no other way to do this without its original remote control.

No, you are stuck and a universal likely will not have key functions you want.

Closed captioning is activated. HOw do I cancel it WITHOUT remote

Unfortunately, many sets these days do not allow you to access the closed captioning options without a remote. The good news is that universal remotes do and they are relatively cheap. When you look for a universal remote, be sure that it has a menu button on it. Expect to pay between $5-$7 for one.

No Remote - Need to access Menu

on some sets you can push both the channel up and down buttons to access the menu, then use them and the volume buttons to navigate the menu. otherwise you may have to get a programmable remote control.

Phillips PC7225 Menu

Found it!
I have a Philips universal remote. After trying half of the codes for Philips TVs, I came up with one which allowed access to the SETUP menu. It was 0621. This allowed me to run the auto channel setup, as well as fix some of the other functions. I don't know if this works with all remotes, but if you try different codes, you should get lucky. I'm sure it helps if you have a SETUP button on your remote.
