same problem with Eeepc. both for wireless and land line. it just stays on 'pending'. ( when you open the details, in the log it says, no DHCPOFFERS received. No working leases in persistent database - sleeping. runparts -- verbose/etc/network/ )

    and then nothing happens.

What type computer? Wireless network ? FROM the language you are using [" picks up connection"] It is wireless. You may be picking up "outside" signals. When they are weak, you may get something!,then u loose it. Thats why "pending & nothing happens"

I have an Asia notebook and it won't connect to

your question lacks sufficient information for anyone to offer you an exact solution. the best I can suggest is that you follow some general troubleshooting steps. make sure your internet service is active, properly connected, your router is powered on, etc. if possible, plug in a different computer to see if it too has the same problems connecting. if so, the issue lies with your service, not the computer. if another computer can get online, then start checking for software issues on the system that has the trouble. to get into addressing how to do that, you'll need to provide more details including which operating system you're using, how you're connecting your computer to the internet service, what kind of service you have and who provides it, what exactly happens when you try to connect, what steps you have already tried to resolve the problem, what the results of those efforts had been, etc.

My RW 240 printer keeps saying Pending on the document to print but nothing is happening. The machine says its ready to go.

First check you connecting cable if it is properly connected or not then try restarting your PC and printer both. If the problem still persist then I would suggest to download the latest driver from manufacturer`s website and hopefully this shall solve your problem.

I try getting on the internet and cant. I have a 100% signal to the network and when I try to get on it says pending

this sounds like a wifi connection to an access point failure.

you need to reset the access point that you are connecting to. if this is a punlic system, it happens all too frequently.

Will not connect to wireless networks. When I try, it just says connection is 'pending'

1: Choose "Network" in the Internet option, disconnect it and then delete the Connection in the "Manage".

2: Click "Create" to recreate the connection, choose "Local Area Network- Wireless", then Next.

3: Choose "Next".

4: Select Address Type, and then Next.

5: Browse Wireless Networks and then choose the one you want to use, you should see your wireless router/modem and the signal should show "Excellent" or "Very Strong". Choose the mode to be "infrastructure" and the Transfer rate to be "auto", and then Next.

6: Wireless Channel Settings, choose any channel.

7: If your AP is using the WEP or WPA encryption, you need to choose "Enable encryption" and then input the Key and Key index, (If you want your connection secured, you should use WPA and select a key index.) choose Next.

8: Fill in the Name of connection, then choose Next.

9: You can choose the "Connect automatically at system startup" or "Start this connection when finished" if you want, and then choose Finish.

This should correct your connection issues. Good Luck

Wireless Connection to Internet

if you have you network up and running and connected, then on taskbar on the right at the bottom of the screen...... you should have a wireless connection icon like one computer icon, right click on this choose .....view available networks and then make sure yours is choosen.....then click connect the first time you may have to put your ssid or pass phrase in again.....once that done it should say aquiring network address or connected.
i hope this helped if not let me know.
