Hotpoint Aquarius WD640 Progressive problems now causing flooding
Hi,
I am renting a flat that has a Hotpoint Aquarius WD640 that is about 2 years old. The first problem that occurred was it was leaking from the detergent dispenser. It didn't happen with every load, just about every 3 or so. My landlord came and adjusted the water pressure. About 3 loads later it starting happening again. He came by again, and of course it would not happen when he was here even though we ran 3 cycles. He adjusted the pressure again. About 5 cycles later, is starting to POUR out like crazy, more than ever! It soaked up 3 large towels (where before it would only wet half of a towel). The weirdest thing though it there was so much soap pouring out. Almost looked like dish soap. And there was foam all in the tub. He called Hotpoint and they said it would be 200 pounds to come out. He doesn't want to pay that so he may buy a new machine. Anyway, he is coming out one more time on Saturday to look at it again. Any suggestions? Oh yeah, I forgot, today I tried to dry some jeans in it. When I opened the door after the cycle was done, water poured out. It wasn't even on a wash cycle. And now, I can't get it to drain. I have tried to pump out cycle a couple of times and I hear a hum, but it is not draining.
The problem is a blocked pump check the sump for blockages
the machinr will fill with water on dry so it can condense the steam
ps hotpoint charge 89.98 not 200
Normally if it leaks then the one way valve in the back of the machine is clogged, you remove the back, undo the jubilee clips on the 3" black hose & clean the ball.

I would suggest you could use any normal powder in front load washer but check in a manual-
Manual
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

hi there......most likley cause is a blocked or defective drain pump....if the water cannot get out of your machine due to the faults above it wont rinse drain or spin
Hi, that indicates that either the fan motor is not working/ blocked or the dryer thermistor (thermostatic sensor) is playing up. Of course, the pcb reads the sensor so it could also be that causing the error.
machine has brushes but they usually last longer than 2 years (mine are still ok after 5 years. if you get no drum rotation, then suspect the brushes and replace them if necessary
the f-01 error code on your hotpoint all in 1 washer/dryer is a short circuit code for the motor. the only way to clear the code is to have a service tech come and inspect the reason for the error.
