Some cameras need a driver to be detected, but some need the installation CD to detect the camera. You can use a card reader to have the computer detect the pictures, and drag and drop them from the card to the computer. The card reader will be detected in My Computer as another drive, i.e. f:, g:, etc.

ok this problem is caused by the wrong drive installed for the Crystal Eye Web cam.

even thoguh the camera shows that it is installed, the application looks for a specific one for the model you have. Unfortunatly Acer used 3 models of the camera without telling you which you have and calls all of them "crystal eye web cam"

go to acer.com select their support section and download all driver and applications available for the camera. you will need to try then 1 at a time til you get the one that works for your system

Plug in a Memory Card, in the Card Reader, then
Right-Click on My Computer Icon, Click on Manage, Then go to Disk Management, If you can find the Memory card Detected there but without a drive letter, then right-click on it and Give it a distinct(New) Drive letter and apply, but if it already has a drive letter assigned, then change it to a new one...i.e, assign to it a new Drive letter.

it wont show on window2000 it will show only in windowXP for window 2000 u need drivers cd of nikon coolpix install that 1st

if ur laptop detect full signal from ur router, click on the signal and let ur laptop connect to the signal..coz even ur laptop detect the signal,it doesnt auto connect,so u hve to connect it manually..

Mine does the same thing, and i have done everything to try and maake it work, but it doesnt, and it is geting me so fustrated all the time.
