Question about Black & Decker String Trimmer Cordless 12" 18V

1 Answer

My black and decker trimmer line will not stay fed into hole and breaks off and will not reload the blue .065 line. I think perhaps I have the twine on incorrectly but have lost the manual and it is very frustating. I have the cordless kind that charges on the wall and is orange. Is there a trick to loading the darn thing so that its line will work more than one strip of grass?

The same problem with GH 400. I think the smoll lever under the spool is worn out and needs to be replaced. I have a hard time to find and purchase this part. Should be easy to be replaced.

No, it is not heavy duty enough to drive a blade. It should have cuttting line in it and it only can use up to .065" string (factory recommended).

I properly replaced the line spool but it won't feed automatically.

After you replaced your string in the trimmer and fed it through the hole in the plastic casing in which the spool fits into, did you pull the string until you hear a click? The click locks the string in, then you can bump and feed as usual. Otherwise it won't feed normally.
