HR 720 does not burn to DVR -R media

- Hello there,

it seems I have found a solution for this problem. I decided for this step, as the recorder for a few days did not accept any media, including "working" Sonys, no burn was available.
The only thing I was able to try was to increase intensity of the laser. And after that - yeeeaaahh, now it accepts all Sonys, but also TDK-RW (never accepted before), also TDK -R. That's all I have tried till now and it works!
So how to do that?
1.Uncover the device
2.Uncover the DVD-part in the middle of the device (5screws, then slide the cover to back and remove it
3.close to the optic there are 2 small adjustable resistors (potentiometers they look like small screws) - one marked as DVD, the other as CD (white letters on the PCB)
4.turn the DVD marked potentiometer about 30-45degrees clockwise.....that's all, put the covers back and try to format, burn.... In my case till now no error, no system error or any other problem that had occured before.
I suppose, this can help with similar problems in this forum (burned media not readable in other players etc.) If it does not help, simply turn back the potentiometer to its previous position)
