T-Fal Avante Bagel Tpaster - 4 slice

One side (2 slices) of my toaster will not lock when I press the lever down. The elements do not heat up. I recently moved the toaster and turned it on its side, so I am thinking that something came loose inside. I'm very partial to this toaster & would like to use both sides.

The element is broken . Try to put the element back together. Mine was broken near the rivet under the slice who holding the element in place. Very hard to find. You need to pull on the element to see if it s loose or fix properly.

Just to add a note of caution. Be very careful pulling on the heating element, as they become very brittle and can not be flexed when they do.

Received 2 slice toaster (kitchenaid) as a gift - from the very 1st time it was used, only the outer coils would heat up, so only 1/2 of each slice ever gets toasted!!! Anyone who could help solve this...

I think it is set to cook bagels. Check the control settings.
Most toasters have a bagel setting which only cooks the
sliced side of the bagel. This model is designed to accept bagels. Hope this helps.

Tefal avanti hi speed 4 slice toaster one side not working, Not staying down Left side right side ok

When the push down lever hits the bottom it pushes another little lever which makes contact with the positive and negative terminals. over time, these terminals get ever so slightly bent, especially if you start pushing the lever down hard. what you have to do is take the toaster apart, get to the positive and negative terminals and pinch back into shape with some pliers. you should understand once you look at it. Then put back together. if it doesn't work then it's likely a component has gone so, unless you have a multi-meter and a soldering iron I wouldn't suggest doing this.

Oh yeah, unplug it before you do anything.

Tfal 2-slice toaster repair

look inside your toaster. there must be something inside it turn it down and see if something comes out.. if nothing is inside then try to see if the cord that you switched on is not broken. if you see a liitle bit scratch mark on it- switch off. You can get a electric shock. it is your favorite toaster so try to consult a electricion to fix the cord for you.

Duraband 4 slice toaster manual model # TS-5221

if u need a manual for a toaster, then u r really in trouble...espcially for the amt of money u paid for it.
ok...
if u need instructions on how to use a toaster...here goes:
When:
A toaster is used to heat slices of bread, bagels, waffles, etc. to a hot, crispy consistency. Most toasters allow the user to set the toasting length to ensure the toasted bread comes out to temperature and crispiness to the user’s likes.
Where:
Toasters should be used on a flat, uncluttered surface near an electrical outlet but far from sinks, or running/standing water.
How:
To toast bread in a toaster, follow these instructions:

1. Place slices of toast, one each, in the slots on the top of the toaster.

2. Find the toast setting (a knob or lever) and adjust to the desired wellness of the toast. (Generally, there is a scale printed near the knob or lever ranging from light to dark toast).

3. Push down the toasting lever (moving the slices of bread down into the toaster between the heating elements.

4. When the toast is finished, the slices will “pop” up automatically.

5. Remove the toast from the toaster.
WARNING:
If the bread should get stuck inside the toaster, DO NOT PUT ANYTHING INSIDE THE TOASTER in attempt to dig it out. UNPLUG the toaster, turn it upside down and shake. If the toast does not fall out, use a plastic fork or knife to gently remove it from the toaster. Using metal utensils could damage the heating elements. NEVER stick anything in the toaster while it is plugged in.
*For further safety, it is recommended that the toaster be unplugged after each use.
I wish u luck and happy toasting.
