Question about Tefal Avante Deluxe 4 Slice Toaster
One side (2 slices) of my toaster will not lock when I press the lever down. The elements do not heat up. I recently moved the toaster and turned it on its side, so I am thinking that something came loose inside. I'm very partial to this toaster & would like to use both sides.
Energized coil (Magnet) which holds down lever mechanism may be coated and in need of scraping for it to make full contact

The element is broken . Try to put the element back together. Mine was broken near the rivet under the slice who holding the element in place. Very hard to find. You need to pull on the element to see if it s loose or fix properly.

Just to add a note of caution. Be very careful pulling on the heating element, as they become very brittle and can not be flexed when they do.
