Question about Televison & Video
Remove speaker grill at bottom of set. Remove screen by taking out all the screws from the back of the rim of the screen. Two ribbon cables from the front controls need to be unplugged to set the screen to one side. Remove two screws holding the light engine shroud in place. Side it toward the front and lift out of the way. The color wheel housing as only two screws holding it down. There are two wires coming from the color wheel housing. One has three wires with a white plug on the end that plugs into the left end of the light engine's metal box. Next to the plug is a ribbon cable that is slid into its socket. You will notice two shiney philips screws holding down the color wheel housing. Remove them and the color wheel housing can be lifted out. Unplug the two wires going to the light engine.

This is normal . It is telling me it is trying to turn on the lamp. But are you having a problem with the set now or is this something you've just noticed. If your set is not working check the the lamp or make sure it is seated correctly.

RCA DLP color wheel replacment is most efficiently done from the behind the screen, not the back panels where the guts of the DLP are located.
From there you do not need to remove anything but the color wheel and disconnect the two wires.

if you are talking about the light engine, your best bet is to have a tech do it. if you are really talking about the color wheel, in my experience they are replaced not repaired ..
