Are you connecting via usb or ethernet cable?
Through usb you need to install the driver on the pc it is connected to. Then share it.

Through ethernet make sure your CAT5/Ethernet cable is connected from your printer to your router/switch. Through the menu on the printer Print the network setup.

Then from your web browser type
http://ip address of printer from the network setup page

If you can then you need to add the printer driver on your pc and use a tcp/ip port to print to it through the network.

Can the HP Pavilion 763n PC Desktop use a wireless router?

Your computer has a "built-in" 10/100BT network connection integrated on the motherboard but to go wireless you'll have to add either a PCI (internal) or USB (external) wireless network adapter to transmit/receive the signal from your wireless router. Think "walkie-talkie" here with the wireless router installed AFTER the modem (phone line outlet needed) located in a central area of your home and transmitting/receiving to the individual wireless network adapters that must be separately installed in each computer.

I want to connect a wireless Cannon printer to a Toshiba laptop, do I need a certain type of router? I have WiFi and WWAN internet connection, do I still need a router?

The printer needs to be connected to a router.
The router has to be wireless.
The laptop should then be connected to the router in order to install.

The printer shoul have an option to search and connect to a wireless router. After searching an connecting, you have to connect the laptop to the router and install the printer as an network printer.

What you need is a print server. The print server will plug into your router and your printer making the printer a network printer then each computer will be able print to the printer. Here is one.

I have a Compaq C751NR Notebook that has Windows Vista and am trying to install the Windows Vista disk from the HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One. I keep getting "Fatal Error" error code 2349 and...

  1. Un-install the printer
  2. Click Start .
  3. Click Settings .
  4. Click Control Panel .
  5. Double-click Add/Remove Programs .
  6. Select HP PSC & Officejet 6.0 and then click Change/Remove .
  7. Follow the instructions that display on the screen.
  8. Disconnect the unit from the computer.
  9. Restart the computer.
Then download and install the drivers from HP's site:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?product=1119598&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=1119598

The drivers on the cd are probably causing the problem.
You may have to copy and paste the link into your browser.

Need to kinow if hp officejet v series is compatable with windows vista on my laptop? Can I install it on my pc?

Yes, I checked several models and they all had Vista drivers and software.
Go to this page :
http://h10061.www1.hp.com/ccsearch/search?pname=officejet+v&opname=HP+Officejet+6310+All-in-One+Printer&qry=compatability&method=prodFinder&enc=UTF-8&ctry=us&lang=en&dlc=en&sni=1119598&search=0&submit.x=0&submit.y=0

And select your model. then on the next page , click on Product support home, which will be under the picture of the printer. Then select the version of Vista.( you probably have Vista 32bit) Download and install.
You may have to copy and paste the link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

I need printer cable for a HP K60

It's one of two things (you can connect it in two ways).

First, locally installed all you need a is a USB A/B cable.

If you have an available network jack on a router you can use a standard RJ-45 network cable.

You can get both for under ten bucks at a local computer store.
