Hi,I'm having a very big problem. In the Sound and Audio Device it is said that there's No audio Device !.Even though days before, i was having sound. In the Audio tab,in the MIDI music playback there's...

Ok, if you have the audio driver installer with you then it's fine, otherwise download it from your PC manufacturer's site for your model no. Run the installer, it will extract some files in C drive in a folder. now open device manager, right click on audio controller and select update option, then select install manually and "i will choose driver". In the next dialogue, click 'browse' and point it to the folder where driver has extracted files, inside the folder somewhere there will be a .inf file, select that and click OK.
If you are still having difficulty, then post here your model no., audio device etc. in detail, then i can guide you better.

Can't hear playback. Windows Vista - Playback device says usb Audio Codec

here is what ION is telling people (short version) this is for vista or win7

1. Visit www.ionaudio.com/ezvc to download the latest EZ Converter software.
2. install new software if needed,
3. connect ION Audio USB. make sure its ON (if it has a switch)

Setup Procedure
1. Start then Control Panel.
2. double-click Hardware and Sound.
3. double-click Sound.
4. At top select Playback tab. choose the audio output device.
Don’t chose “speakers-usb audio codec” (that’s your ION) don’t chose modem
5. click Set Default.
6. select Recording tab at top of Sound Control Panel. choose "Microphone – USB Audio Codec" as the default device. (that’s the ION)
7. Click Set Default.
8. click Properties. select Advanced tab
9. set the Default Format setting to 2-channel, 16 bit 44100 Hz (CD Quality).
10. Un-check the two boxes under Exclusive Mode. Click Apply
11. select Levels tab from the top of the Sound Control Panel.
12. Set the level slider to 4. Click Apply, click OK to close the window.

Have everything set up and running, if you have to call this number for help.

No sound from my speakers error message says no sound device and cant delete modem#0 Line Playback

Hello...
Full details about sound issue in my website...
www.sureshayyar.110mb.com (Support page)

As an alternative u can do this (i am using this solution till date)

If u cant install the sound driver correctly, just buy a " USB Sound Adaptor" and connect it to the USB port and connect the speaker sound jack to the sound port in this adaptor....u will get back the sound....also keep in mind that u " may " have to disable onboard sound in BIOS, u may also have to make changes in the Control Panel / Sound and Audio Devices / Audio Tab / Sound Playback option... Click the drop down button and select the "USB Audio Devices/Headset"

You can get it in Ebay for $1 to $4 or google it to locate a place near u......

This is the one i am refering to(I bought it in Ebay for 1$)....u can buy something similar also....there are many available mfd from China, just plug and play on your USB port....

If you find this solution useful please leave a feedback and rating to this solution.

Regards....
All the best, my dear friend....2742fd8.jpg

Microphone des not work

There are two items you'll need to check. First, when you boot your system press the Delete key to enter the bios. Open the Advanced tab.
Make sue your Audio is set to [Enabled].
For windows XP operating systems check within windows Device manager. Click the start button, open control panel. Double left click on the "System" icon to open. System properties window will open. Click on the Hardware tab than click on the "Device Manager" button. Scroll down through the icons until you come to: Sound, video and game controllers. If there is a problem with the driver you will see something like. Unknown pci controller or simple pci controller. If you do not see something either of these than there is nothing wrong with your driver software. Make sure you setup your microphone. Open the windows "Control panel". Than open, "Sound and Audio Device". Click on the Audio Tab. Under, "Sound playback" the Default device should read as; Realtek AC97 Audio. Now click on the Voice Tab. Under "Voice playback" the Default device should read as; Realtek AC97 Audio. Lastly, you need to click the "Test hardware" button. Follow the instruction from windows. It wouldn't hurt to check windows for updates. If you still do not have use of the microphone than the intergraded sound controller is defective. This can’t be repaired. You can disable the intergraded sound controller in the bios. Than buy a PCI sound card and add it into an opened PCI port.

Hope you find this helpful.

I cant hear any sound when i watch online movie or music videos please help

1) Apparently its caused by the deletion of a single registry entry called wavemapper which some people blame on Adobe's flash player.

Here is the fix:-

Start -> Run and enter 'regedit' or 'regedit.exe' (obviously without the quotes) - This will bring up the registry editor

Follow the left path to:
My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mic... NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32

On the right pane, right click and click on New, select String value, enter 'wavemapper', press ENTER

Then right-click on 'wavemapper', select modify, and type 'msacm32.drv' into the Value Data field.

Close the registry editor.

This should all work now without a reboot so you can get back to watch youtube clips all day.

2) Recall that in CONTROL PANEL under SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES and the VOLUME tab, I said it was greyed out. Even though I had all drivers installed, it said "NO AUDIO DEVICE" and the DEVICE VOLUME could not be accessed.

Well, the problem was under the AUDIO tab and the SOUND PLAYBACK section. DEFAULT DEVICE was set to "Modem #0 Line Playback".

I clicked on the arrow on the right - for the drop down menu - and saw a second choice..."Vinyl AC'97 Audio (WAVE)".

I chose it, clicked on "APPLY", went back to the VOLUME tab, where it now read "Vinyl AC'97 Audio (WAVE)" and the volume was accessible.

clicked on "OK" - went to youtube.com and it played perfectly

Audio Setup for Windows XP and Vista

1. Audio settings, in Windows and Skype

XP: Windows Control Panel / Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices / Sounds & Audio Devices
or Right-click speaker icon in system tray and select "Adjust Audio Properties"

Volume / Device Volume: Make sure “Mute” is NOT checked in this window.
Volume / Device Volume / Advanced: If there is no “Microphone” section in this window, go to Options / Properties and check “Microphone” in the “Playback” list. Then make sure “Mute” IS checked in this window

Audio / Sound Playback: Your on board sound/Sound Card
Audio / Sound Recording: Your on board sound/Sound Card
Audio / Sound Recording / Volume: Make sure "Microphone" is selected and the volume slider is at the center or higher
Audio / Sound Recording / Volume / Advanced: If “Microphone Boost” or “20db Boost” is present, select it

Vista: Windows Control Panel / Hardware and Sound / Sound / Manage Audio Devices
or Right-click speaker icon in system tray and select "Playback devices"

Playback: Your speakers or on board sound/Sound Card must appear in this list, and must show “Working”
Playback: Select your speakers or on board sound/Sound Card, then click “Set Default”
Playback / Properties / General: Device Usage: “Use this device (enable)”
Playback / Properties / Levels: “Mute” is not on, volume slider in the middle

Recording: Your Microphone or on board sound/Sound card must appear in this list, and must show “Working”
Recording: Select your Microphone or on board sound/Sound Card, then click “Set Default”
Recording / Properties / General: Device Usage: “Use this device (enable)”
Recording / Properties / Custom: If “Microphone Boost” is present, select it.
Recording / Properties / Levels: Microphone volume should be centre or higher
Recording / Properties / Levels: If there is a “Mute” button, it must not be on

Skype / Tools / Options / Audio Settings:

Microphone: Your headset/mic or USB device or Web cam mic, as you prefer
Speakers: Your headset, USB device or speakers, as you prefer
Ringing: VoIPVoice USB Phone or on board sound/Sound Card; also tick Ring PC speaker

Note: The audio devices you want to use MUST be present in these Skype device lists. If they are not, check the device connections and driver installations again.

2. Microphone and Speaker connections

Check if your mic (pink) and speaker (lime) jacks are in the proper sockets (it is easy to reverse them) and fully inserted (they sometimes stick only partially inserted)
If your microphone or headset has a “Mute” switch, make sure it is not on
If your speakers or headset has a volume control, make sure it is turned up
For test only you can use an earphone instead of microphone (really)! Just unplug the microphone, plug the earphone into the microphone jack, and talk into your earphones. (I know it sounds silly, but it might tell you if your microphone is defective)
A standard microphone plugged into Line In will NOT work.

3. Check audio in Windows.

XP: Start / All Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / Sound Recorder

Vista: Start [Orb] / All Programs / Accessories / Sound Recorder

Make a short recording with the microphone; you should see the level meters moving as you speak. On Windows XP, you can then play back what you recorded.

4. Once done, test with Skype Test Call (echo123).

INPORT Installed, Sound Disappears

The Xitel site http://www.xitel.com/USA/support_inport.htm says when this happens, " 1. Go to START -> CONTROL PANEL -> SOUNDS AND MULTIMEDIA PROPERTIES -> AUDIO TAB
2. Make sure that in the Audio tab your soundcard appears as the Preferred Playback device with USB Audio or INport as the Preferred Recording Device. There should also be a check next to the option 'use only preferred device'.
3. When you start LPRecorder you should also make sure that Recording Device is set to USB Device or INport and Playback Device is set as your soundcard and that there is a check next to the option Simultaneous Playback."
