Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

My ascer aspire 5101 does not power up correctly - it powers up for one second then switches itself off. If i try to power up again a few seconds later it does not power up at all. If i remove the battery and plug in the AC adapter the computer still will not boot. The battery gets charged ( indicator changes from orange to green ). If i try to boot with battery only then it will do so and then switch itself off after one second the same with the AC connected. However when i try to boot with the AC and the battery connected a few seconds later then there is no boot up at all.

sadly it falls just outside its warranty!

Could be a motherboard issue. Do you ever see anything on the screen like the manufacturer's boot up screen? If so it could indicate a hard drive problem.

I unplug my pc and put it back after a few hrs then plug it back but there was only a blinking green light it does not turn on or off i tried everything like plug off and plug it on still the same i tried...

check the back of the power supply and make sure the voltage selector is set properly. try to switch it back and forth to the correct voltage. Swap the power cord with the monitor. Switch it on again. If the blinking green still comes up, press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds and see how it goes. If this does not work, disconnect all removable items and cables inside the system including power connection and connect them all and test the system again. Hope this helps

I have an Acer Aspire 5672, it just cut out & wont power up at all, Battery okay & power supply from mains ok (been tested). It just switched off & wont boot up again. Battery is charged &...

One thing you might try is to unplug it from the adapter and remove the battery. Let it sit a few minutes and replace the battery and try to start it again.
If that doesn't work, then plug it in and try it again.
If it still won't power up, you are probably looking at a motherboard that has gone bad. If it is still in warranty, then the company should fix it.

The Acer X1700 desktop suddenly stopped booting.

i would check your power supply. take it to a local computer shop. or call acer for warranty support.

or if you are running on a backup ups, plug the computer directly into the wall and try it again

My Acer Aspire One suddenly shuts downs after a few seconds.

You need to go into control panel then display then screensaver.Click on power make sure your power off settings are correct. For system standby set to never. Then click advanced at the top make sure those settings are correct
you also want to click on hibernate and make sure there is no check mark in enabling hibernate.
Click apply restart and then see what happens.
Other solutions if this does'nt do the trick.

Hi when i turn my ACER 5315 LAPTOP on it runs for 5-10secs before turning off again please help thanks

Hi,

We can try some work around to narrow down the issue.

I think your notebook might be getting power from the Ac adapter. The remaining power in the battery might be giving power for few seconds and trning OFF again.

To check this, once remove the battery from the notebook and turn on the laptop with only AC adapter.

If there is no power at all, then what I guess is correct. Issue might be with the AC adapter or with the power jack on the motherboard.

If the notebook turns ON even with the Ac adapter and turned off aftetr few seconds without battery, then you have to contact service center as it could be the hardware issue.
