First detergents, make sure that its not expired. 2) some dishwashers do better with liquid or powder, so try each one, brands can vary also.

If hard water use more detergent soft less.

If only not cleaning on top rack you have a water pressure issue.

Also ensure you are properly putting the dishes on the rack, incorrect dishes restrict flow, pressure, and cleaning action.

Glasses and frying pans not clean at end of cycle. Residue on glasses and cups, food particles on frying pans.

it's generally not a good idea to put really greasy items in a dishwasher along with relatively clean items such as glassware and plates and cutlery, as most recent good quality dishwashers come with a soil sensor that ends the wash cycle once the dishes appear clean, and all the grease from your frying pan will cause the soil sensor to take longer to detect clean water.

Fishy odor in the dishwasher and on the washed dishes

would start by removing the filters and giving them a good clean out. also clean out the spray arms. then get a good quality dishwasher cleaner and put it on an intensive wash. this should clear any smells.

if not check where the outlet hose drains to, this may need a good cleaning as build up of gunge can occur

Middle spray arm clogged

no it cant to clean a dishwasher good the best thing you can do is run lemeshine often found at a publix or wallmart in the dishwasher detergant isles . if you try to sepperate the arms ther is a very good chance you will break the water tight seal and it cannot be fixed without replacement.

The heating coil is all white from calcium. How can I "clean" it. I also find it in the sprinklers little holes. Getting hard already

This can possibly be resolved by runnig rinse cycle with calcium remover product,< don't know if brands are ok to say > the element might not clean up to good ,but the ,"sprinklers", being clogged will prevent dishes getting clean < the wash arms deliver the water to do the cleaning > not a tried and proven method , but easiest thing to try. Hard water in some cases can only be defeated by a good system to remove it.
