My son has Soul Silver and has been playing it for several months now and acquired 50 rares. A friend of his used an action replay on his DSi and also downloaded alot of files. Now when my son turns on his game, it states the "Save File is corrupted." His friend stated he needed to wait 6 weeks and it would be OK, but that doe not make sense to me. Is there anyway to repair or retiieve the file? Also, is there anyway to create backups of save files on the DSi? Any advice would be appreciated.

your version has everything to do with it. i recently found this out. all the dsi versions past 1.4 u doesn't allow the action replay to work basically. either we wait for a action replay update or we find a wait to get the dsi's version to 1.3 something. my fiancee's dsi was at 1.2 u and the action replay worked just fine. i had him update it to the newest version which is 1.4.5 u and it doesn't allow the action replay to work. i know i didn't really help but for the longest time i thought my action replay was broken and then i just found out that it's the dsi instead. sorry mate

It has a cover on the ds so take it off you'll be all set

i dont know whats wrong with it but mines like that too. i tryed truning on and off and keep on trying.mine wasnt your game it was pokemon platium. i had put a whole bunch of codes in just then. i got mad so right when it froze i truned it off and tryd it without my action replay it still worked without the action replay but when i tryed with action replay again it froze. im still trying to find a cure but i think we got bad apple chaets(in other words vires cheats).i dont know if thats the case but with your action replay try takeing off one of your codes for that game(that didnt come with the action replay)and try starting it up. if it does email me at [email protected] .also if any of you find out what it is and/or a salotion to this tell me.

No, its simply because it is an action replay and can cause games to freeze occasionaly

DUDE I GOT THE SAME PROBLEM AND I CANT FIX IT AND IM FLIPPING LOSING MY MIND CUZ I HAD SOME INCREADIBLY LONG CODES ON THERE AND NOW IM REAL PISSED OFF. have you solved the problem yet???? if so please tell me how...I'm desperate

In order to delete a save file, you must press Up/Left, B, and Select at the same time at the main screen. In HeartGold/Soul Silver, you cannot overwrited save data by making a new file.

Soul Silver is new. Action Replay DSi isnt.
So they don't have any codes.

Well you need to call Nintendo Inc. and send them your game, then just only use an Action Replay 20 times then through it out of it will mess up your game or even your DS.
