Is the map compatible with your software for Nokia? For eg, you can download Google maps without any problem, but if you try a Route66 map, then you need the Route66Sync software, etc.
If it is a compatible map, follow these steps to install:
1. Download the correct version of Nokia Maps to your PC and install it with PC suite or transfer the installer to your phone.
2. Launch the Nokia Maps application on your phone if installed with PC
suite or locate the installer and run it. Follow the instructions.
Launch application after installation finishes.
3. Download and install Nokia Map Loader for your Windows PC. Follow the on-screen instructions during installation.
4. Download map files with Nokia Map Loader and transfer them to your phone.
You can download the Nokia Map Loader software from HERE if you don't have it already.

Hi,
To my knowledge, maps used by the Nokia 6110 Navigator must be in an *.SIS file format. Any other format will not be recognizable therefore not accessible though may be downloaded to the phone.
Perhaps what is needed is a software converter to transform your existing map file to an *.SIS format. The phone's firmware for maps and navigations has been designed/limited to recognized these map files only.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.
Could you pls post back the map's file name extension so as to determine if a software for such conversion is available?
Hi again,
To my knowledge, am afraid it is not possible. A *.tif
image is very basic graphic file whereas an *.sis is a simulated 3D
image.
Perhaps you can try doing a Google for "convert *.tif to *.sis".
Good luck with your project.
