Can see the backlight is not working after few secs , pushing on /off button restores picture for 2 sec , then goes off again

It is not the inverter,rather one of the backlight tubes failing.It'as a bit of a pain to do but repairable.

most common lcd monitor break down, check all electrolytic capacitors for leakage and loose board solder specially on the ccfl inverter section.
