My printer is not working
Assuming the printer is plugged into the wall outlet and also into your pc's usb port or printer port, this is usually a driver issue.
If you are using windows it's just a matter of either inserting the driver disc that was packaged with your printer, or if you have none, getting one online.
The best bet is to download the driver directly from the source, ie, getting a hp printer driver from www.hp.com, or a lexmark printer driver from www.lexmark.com.
If for some reason your driver isnt available from the manufacturer's website, you can usually get it from driverguide.com
driverguide.com is a frustrating site, tons of ads, you have to sign up for a free account, and they hide the download links at the bottom of the page in small font so you have to find your way through the ocean of ads, but they have a very large driver database.
If you have a linux os like ubuntu, you may be out of luck. as i am writing this I am also using linux. the battle beetween the Microsoft community and the Linux one has left some hardware without a driver in linux operating systems.
