My 2006 Grand cherokee is completely dead all of the sudden. It was fine this morning. I went into the garage and it is completely dead. No dash lights, can't unlock/locl the doors with the key etc. It is as if the battery is totally dead. The battery may be dead, but I find it hard to belive it happened this quickly. Nothing was left on or anything.

Sounds more like a bad connection at the battery. Remove the terminals and clean them and then see what you have. If it starts, good. If not you want to check the battery voltage using a meter, then re-charge, test the battery, then the charging system. If everything is ok, test the system for draw.(something staying on, even if you did not turn it on) You need an ammeter to do that.
There are fuses you should also test inside the power distribution center near the battery also.
If you need more help on a specific item, just ask.

I tried swapping the relays around that were clicking, but it didn't help any. The connections were fine, and clean. I was able to start it with a jump. Going to go get the battery tested (don't have the equipment here).

On my 1998 jeep cherokee all 4 gauges plus speedo and rev counter suddenly went dead ,everything else works fine ,what could be the fault please?

Check for bad harness connection Under the dash at the back of instrument cluster housing. Make sure connectors are plugged in completely. Check all fuses located under dash (drivers side) Consult your owners manual for fuse legend.

I started my 2002 jeep overland today in the morning and everything was fine. Drove to the gas station got gas went to start it nothing. No sound no lights just completely dead. I waited a few seconds and...

I would first clean the battery post and clamps, as a bad connection can cause a vehicle to act like the battery is dead, you can either buy battery terminal cleaner( it comes in a spray can) or you can use coke and a wire brush. Hope this helped Tim

Jeep 2006 battery died suddenly

I found out the hard way the best price for a Jeep Grand Cherokee battery. I bought one at a local autoparts place in Ohio because I was out of town when mine went bad. I went to my Local Sam's Club and found the same battery for just over half of the cost at the Autoparts counter.

Check all of your fuses under the hood, and under the dash inside jeep on the passenger side in front of the door, on side panel.

Guages when crazy. Now won't even try to start.

You likely have it repaired by now but it sounds like a classic case of oxidized battery or cable connection (sometimes mis-diagnosed as bad battery but cured with new (clean) battery)
