My Cannon MX700 is not copying straight. What could be the probem?

Printer Won't Show Up on Mac in Add Printer
I just got the printer and installed everything and after the restart, the printer isn't showing up when I try to add it. It said this might happen and to turn it off and back on and/or unplug the USB and plug it back in but I did both and it still isn't finding it. I'm using the latest Mac Leopard and the computer itself is an iMac.
