How to finalise dvd in real burner

1 Open the DVD creation software of your choice. Exact steps will vary based on the software you choose. Nero and Sonic are two popular choices.

2 Create a new DVD project or open an existing project. You will need a blank DVD or an un-finalized DVD with an existing project on it in your DVD burner.

  • 3 Add any files to your project. All programs have an "Add Files" and "Browse" button in order to add files. To remove any files, select the files in the list and press "Delete." Be sure your project is exactly like you want it before proceeding.

  • 4 Press "Burn" to burn you project or changes to DVD.
  • 5 Press "Finalize" or "Finalize Project" when prompted. There will be a prompt after the burn process has completed. If you don't see a prompt, look at the options menu that is to the left or top of the screen. Select "Finalize" or run your mouse over the toolbar buttons until you find the "Finalize" button. Select or press "Finalize" to finalize your DVD project. Select "Ok" or "Yes" to confirm.
  • 6 Eject your DVD and test it in a regular DVD player. A regular DVD player is one that doesn't burn DVDs and is more than likely a portable DVD player or one that is connected to your television.

DVD wont burn with dvd maker gets to 99% then stops

    HI THERE,
When was the last time it was working fine?

    • Do you have any third party CDDVD burning software?
    • Are you able to burn DVD's using windows explorer?

First I would suggest that you try burning using another DVD and check if it works.

    Method 1

Try one or more of the following:
Verify that the DVD burner is connected properly to your computer and powered on, and that any necessary software drivers for the DVD burner are installed. You can check your hardware settings in the Device Manager by doing the following:

    1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
    2. Click Hardware and Sound.
    3. Click Device Manager.
    • Make sure that the videos you're trying to burn are not corrupted. To see whether the videos you want to burn is corrupted, try playing or viewing them using Windows Media Player. If the files don't play using the Player, Windows DVD Maker cannot burn them.

    • Choose a slower burning speed for your DVD burner by doing the following:
    1. Return to the Add pictures and video to the DVD page, and then click Options.
    2. In the DVD burner speed box, select Medium or Slow.

    Method 2

Check if you are able to burn DVD successfully using Windows Explorer.

    Method 3

Check in the event viewer to know the cause of the DVD burning failure and post back with the details.
What information appears in event logs? (Event Viewer)

When i push copy on my DVD burner it says,Target Overflow, what do that means becouse it wont let me burn nothing its a[ TEAC 1 1 DVD/CD duplicator]

It happens to me also ALL the time with mine. I have a 7 disc duplicator machine I do for weddings and special events. And it's a real pain and costly to have that come up when you need the project done soon. My solution is to change the brand on the master disc. Burn another copy of the master disc on your computer to another brand and then use that brand as the new "master" in the duplicator. (1 sollution)

"Target Overflow" basically means that either sometimes the master disc has too much information on it to burn than the disc you want to copy can hold, or sometimes a CD may be in by mistake instead of DVD. If you have a Dual layer DVD disc you want to make copies of and you only have the basic 4.7GB standard DVD blank disc..it's not enough storage space on the disc to burn so you will see that error also. It should really say "not enough space to burn) lol..but I guess that's asking too much.

Sometimes all is correct with the DVD size and it'll come up for no reason (usually the master disc is still spinning and hasn't stopped but you've already pressed the "Copy" button, it's not "ready" so an error of "target overflow" will come up)

I've had mine for 6 years so I've done alot of testing and trial and error to come to the above conclusions.
I find that these brands work for the best "thorough" burns.

Nero Vision 4 refusing to burn to DVD (Memorex DVD Burner)

    Hi,

if its having problems writing the lead in, it,s possible that the devices drivers are corrupt or incorrectly installed. to resolve this re-install nero, or better still upgrade to a newer version of nero.
also check that your media/ blank dvds are compatable. some writers support DVD-R But not +R.
if none of the above works, go into the device manager, and uninstall the DVD drive, reboot the computer, and re-install it. Other related problems are usually atapi or couffin drivers.

Wont burn cds , files , etc

well it could be many reasons why it wont write your burner but first what software you are using for burning. it happens to me before using media player when i try to burn music. the reason was i haven't configure my media player to use my dvd burner for burning because i have dvd burner and a cd burner installed. Now maybe you try to reinstall it using your dvd driver the one which with your dvd burner when you first bought it.
