Vivitar Digital 10 x 25 Camera Binoculars

I am operating on Windows XP. I downloaded the software I received with my Binoculars with no problems. But when I tried to connect the binocs to my pc I received a warning that I should not proceed because apparently the is a problem that may crop up now or even in the future with my Windows applications. What should I do? I received the Binocs as a gift from my brother in Canada - so I don't even have access to the place of purchase. I look forward to hearing from you. Tessa Stedman
