Most common issue's for not being able to boot PC system.
1. Swap power cord/replace. Check video connection cable,
Check monitor power cable. (Check wall outlet is good).
2. Reset cmos/bios. (Need to use manual for board to reset)
3. (No display on monitor, can hear fan's running & LED's on case light/flash). Remove & re-seat video card, same for memory. (While in PC check all power connections & data cables to devices.
4. Fans not running & no LEDs do not light/flash. Power supply may be bad.

Luck!

My pc doesn t boot from cd driver

If you are using a CD drive, it is probably just too old and can't read anything anymore. Try running an Optical Drive (CD) cleaning disc in it.

I want to take my computer apart but not sure what drivers i'll need once i wipe it clean and put it back together. i tryed once but know my front usb ports don't work

You would use the driver's from the computer's manufacturer's website for your make and model.

Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "MSISupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the drivers.

Computer crash, bought new hard drive in 9/21/10 from best buy, ran fine now when i boot up can't get online. get as far as welcom screen but thats it. put in os disk and took 11 hours to boot the disk...

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((motherboard to your hard drive))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

I have put new hard drive in - When booted up it says - Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key.

there can be two scenarios
1. the harddrive is not installed properly
2. the harddrive is not selected as the first boot device in the BIOS of the computer.

After you install new harddrive, you will have to reinstall the Operating System in the computer as well.

Integrated web cam will not function. says driver is not detected. how do i turn it on

Go to devices select the driver that is your web cam driver if it is highlighted with a yellow icon then right click it and go to update driver. I would update it anyway. Make sure that you are online and make sure that you select go to the Internet always option. If you have the disk the original disk that came with your computer and it says drivers put this in and point it to the disk drive where you DVD or CD driver disk is located. This will install the driver again if you cannot get this to work. Go and select devices and where the web cam is delete it in devices and then try to upgrade again. This will install the driver again for your cam. Preferably use the driver disk your computer came with if you have it. If none of those options work try doing a fresh boot up. Just unplug the computer and push the power button in for about 2-3 seconds with the power cord unplugged now plug the computer in again this resets the computer to default restart your computer. I just bought a mother board for my computer and it picks up the hard drive and while installing windows xp pro it stops cause it loses the hard drive

you must have a sata hdd..........if so you will have to put in a driver for the hdd to work .......................when you start the setup to install windows from the xp cd...................you will see when you start the setup disk it will tell you to press F? button if you have a 3rd party driver unfortunately it will ask you later for a floppy with the driver on it...therefore you will need to get the driver from your cd that came with the MoBo or online and put it on a floppy disk and most new computers don't have floppy if yours does then all is well if not then you must get an external floppy that will work from USB just to install the driver....................I would enter the BIOS and see if there is a setting to automatically set the sata or raid settings for your HDD first usually F2.......will enter the BIOS..... BUT, .Be VERY CAREFUL a wrong setting change can cause your PC to not boot at all so write down everything you change and what it was before you changed it and only do 1 or 2 things at a time.....usually F10 saves the BIOS settings or on exit the computer will ask to save your changes.
GOOD LUCK

MSI k8ngm2-h mobo doesn't recognize PCI-E slot anymore!

Just a suggestion for you to try.
This is to check whether your PCI-E card is ok or not.
The BIOS setting option should be on PCI Express.
Take out the power cable from the hard disk - we don't want to mess around with window driver or system that might be the culprit.
Now turn on the computer, if ok, you should see some texts on your screen. This is a confirmation that your PCI-E card is still working. So then for you to work on your windows to solve the problem. Good luck.

Asus a8n-sli network adadper doesn't work anymore

I'm sure you checked everything from the sound of things. Uninstall the drivers. Turn off the pc. Pull the case off, take out the network card. Restart the pc and let it boot to windows. Shut it down. Reinstall the card and let windows find it again, and reinstall the drivers. You might have to start over, uninstalling all drivers and cards and reinstalling them.
