Helo! jst wanna get ur opinion coz im planning to change my sony ericsson P990i 64mb memory stick dou to 2 G memory stick dou but store clerk in the store said it may coz to hung my cell unit,is it true? what should i do? thanks in advance...and more power!
I'm using a 4GB MS Pro Duo card in my P990i just fine now for a few years. Don't try an 8GB card as the phone can't access it properly and keps corrupting the memory contents. Otherwise, a 4GB memory card is cheap these days and works very well. Good luck.
If you still haven't bought a 2gb memstick, then don't.
i have used a 2gb memstick on mine and unfortunately my phone is "dead" right now. i cannot turn it on and these dumb technicians in sonyericsson's service centers cannot identify the problem. i believe that the cause may have been the use of the 2gb memstick. you can check in sonyericsson's website and there you can read that actual tests of using higher than 1gb memstick on the p990 have not been officially conducted by sonyericsson.

The 2 GB memory stick should work in your P990 and not cause any noticeable slowdown.
I have also tried changing my P990i memory to a higher gb and it works.... its just ok to change your memory.... you try it....
