Question about Compaq Evo D500 PC Desktop
Hi, when I shut down my pc (d530 Win 2000 SP4) I get this bluescreen: Stop 0x0000001E KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED Adress 804DE264 base at 80400000, DataStemp 703d35e2 - ntoskrnl.exe. I can work normally without problems but when I shut down my pc I always get this bluescreen. Can anybody help me to solve this problem. I don??t know if this is a software or hardware problem. Thanks. friendly greetings EVA Yes I had the same problem on a Compaq 550 desktop PC. I got the problem with 384 M ram installed (256 + 64 + 64), but when reducing the ram to 194 M (64 + 64 + 64) the system works with no error. So if you have this problem, you might try REDUCING ram!
I feel some program running in the background is causing the problem.
Try using msconfig and disabling unneeded softwares from startup. Then restart the PC and try to shut it down check.
Let me know what happens.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
