Question about Air Conditioners

1 Answer

We have a Vulcan ducted heating unit model HX100, recently we have experienced problems with the unit where is it not heating the house, the unit goes on but blowing cold air. We have had a couple of technicians to repair it and still not working. One fixed the switch pressure & the other the flame sensor connection. We have been advised that we may need a new unit or repair the board. As we have an illness in the family, we would like to know whether we need to purchase a new unit as prices given are really expensive and if we do fix the board will the unit last, we have had it for over 10 years. Thanking you for your assistance. Regards Cathy Brigandi

  • We had the same problem with our carrier heater 4 year or so ago. We had a technician and electrician try to resolve the problem. What the tech suggest was to replace the main component board to the heater and update it as well. haven't had any troubles with it. cost was $450.

Vulcan ducted heating

Do a continuity test on the heating elements, and if they're good then do the same on the sequencers or contactors, whichever you have. The sequencers (or if you have contactors turn on the heating elements). All the fan does is blow air. It blows against the heating element to put out hot air. Either your sequencers/contactor or your heating element is defective.Wait, each sequencers is connected to a fuse.Check the sequencer fuse too. Find the sequencer/contactor wherever the wire feeding the heating element is coming from.

Bonaire Vulcan ducted heating system flashes F08 and HC 01. What do I do?

I was able to fix my Pyrox ducted gas heater (flashing between HC01 and F08 by pressing the reset button on the main PCB located in the main heating unit.
The reset button is located next to a set of indicator led's. It's easy to get to by just removing the covering shroud.

Vulcan-Bonaire : summer breeze

This unit is a cooling unit only. I don't know what switch you are looking at but I don't think it's for the evap. cooler(swamp cooler). I am in the Phoenix, Arizona area and it's very common to have a evap. cooler and a seperate heat/cool system as on the hottest days the evap. cooler doesn't cool enough. I hope this helps. Please give me a positive rating. Thank you.

Vulcan CX Central ducted heating. RE: Following a power outage the control panel does not respond, I have checked the pilot light and it is still on. I need to know how to reset the time and get it to...

The control panel gets its power from the central heating unit's power point. Try turning the power off outside at the powerpoint next to the ducted heating unit and try turning it on again after a few seconds, see if it resets

Vulcan ducted heating not working

How many wires for the thermostat do you have? If you tell me I can help. The green flashing, instead of red, in my experience, means a thermostat problem.
