Question about Computers & Internet

No internet on HP Pavilion Notebook

I have an HP Pavilion notebook. It's a ze2315us. The power cord was jerked out of it and it damaged the input on the power connector board. I replaced the power connector board and that works great now. The problem is that now I cannot connect to the internet via wireless or ethernet. It was working fine before the power connector board was replaced. Now it does not even recognize that I have plugged an ethernet cable into it. I used the exact factory part ordered from HP. Where would you guys suggest I begin in troubleshooting this problem?

Thanks for the advice. I will work on getting a USB wireless adapter. Last night I uninstalled the network adapters and rebooted. On boot the notebook recognized the hardware and an internet connection but had an exclamation point. When I checked the status it said that the network did not assign a network address to the computer - limited or no connectivity. When i run cmd and ipconfig /all it lists an ip address and subnet mask but no default gateway or dns.

The first thing I would try is a USB wireless adapter. If this works it may be a hardware problem. If this does not work it is likely a software problem. Make sure the interfaces are not disabled in the connections window. Make sure you are using a good cable, test it elsewhere.

I have a HP Pavillion DM1-10. Everytime I plug in my power cord to my notebook it says 22% plugged in, not charging. I'm worried that my notebook is malfunctioning so I hope you can give me some advice to...

Your notebook may be fine. You should check your power cord for any cuts or breaks. The power cord may have gone bad. You can check by feeling if it gets warm when plugged in. If not, you will need a new power cord.

Dv6700z power issues.

The power jack on the side of the notebook is either damaged & need to be replaced, or it just needs to be re-soldered to the laptops mainboard.
In either case, the laptop needs to be disassembeled & the jack either re-soldered or replaced.
